All three stories I thought were very descriptive and real. Everyone can relate in one way or another. But, I strongly feel that the profanity in these books was very unnecessary and it had me cringing every time a word was uttered. Maybe this is something that could be considered or taken into account for future debut fiction. Even with this one downfall, this is a great way to introduce up and coming authors.
I like the experience of listening and reading at the same time. Unfortunately, this unabridged version seems like an abridged version. It does not follow the book at all. The actual book starts by introducing the characters and their encounters with the Dome but this audio unabridged version starts way after the Dome is discovered and the chaos that ensues from its arrival. So if you want to read the whole story buy the actual book. But if you like an unabridged version that is still chopped down, listen to this audio version.
I have always liked Mary Higgins Clark's books and now even more that I can follow along by audio. Unfortunately, I agree with the other review that the young woman reading makes it hard to concentrate. She sounds like she is eating something while she is reading.
