Would you try another book from Marissa Meyer and/or Rebecca Soler?

yes, i would be willing to read the next book, but not until i could find a second hand copy. I probably wont get the audiobook as Rebecca Soler didnt do a good job, not horrible, but no better than ok.

Has Scarlet turned you off from other books in this genre?

    no, i enjoy the genre

What didn’t you like about Rebecca Soler’s performance?

it was average at best, the voices all sounded the same to me. seeing her as the reader wouldn't stop me from buying another audio book from an author i know i like.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Scarlet?

i would have left Cinders scenes out and focused on the main characters.

Ever since an accident turned her into a knockout vamp, Elvi Black's been catching her z's in a coffin, staying out of the sun, and giving up garlic. She knows there's more to being undead than what she saw in Dracula, but she can't very well ask her mortal friends about proper biting etiquette. But when her neighbors placed a personal ad for her in the local paper, she never imagined she'd meet Victor Argeneau, a vampire who could have his pick of any woman - dead or alive.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

    constantly breathing loudly

Every sentence (or sometimes twice in a sentence) i could hear loud intakes of breath. it was so bad i had to quit listening an hour into the book. Luckly these books are in sequence but focus on different characters and don't require knowledge from past books.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story (as far as i got) was up to my standards, I will just read the book.

    Any additional comments?

Nope. I don't dislike the narrator, but she must have had a cold or something.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author MaryJanice Davidson’s tales featuring Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor are a perfect blend of humor, horror, and high fashion. In this 10th installment, Betsy finds herself puzzling over an unusual predicament. As the Vampire Queen, she believes she cannot die. So when she wakes in the morgue, it’s a bit confusing. Could it have something to do with her recent time-traveling excursion, or has a wicked enemy emerged who could be the end of Betsy once and for all?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. The first book was ok, but i found the rest TRIED to be funny and failed. i gave the series (a lot of the books) a chance and it failed. If your looking for vampire romance/humor go for molly harper, WAAAAAAAY better stories and you get the added bonus of amanda ronconi reading it.

What do you think your next listen will be?

reading Lynsay Sands now, just finished the first book, already have the second. I like it.

    Which scene was your favorite?

hmmmm any scene with the devil is a good scene (she was the only funny character)

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    no.

    Any additional comments?

    waste of time.
