Audio edition is great; but I'm sure I would have enjoyed the printed version too because the story was so good.
All the Nightwalker Series are comparably excellent to listen to.
Yes, I wanted to listen to it in all one sitting; however, I would have then been disappointed that it was too short.
Purchase the Nightwalker series.
This book is action packed from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed Moning's Fever series about MacKayla and this continuation about Dani is equally good. There's a lot going on in this book as the story takes many unpredictable turns. It's exciting, humorous, dangerous, and sets the stage for some deliciously interesting relationships in the next books. I impatiently await the next release! I highly encourage readers/listeners to purchase this book. In fact you just can't go wrong with the purchase of any of Karen Marie Moning books! THEY"RE ALL THAT GOOD!!!
Intense, Sexy, Consuming.
I loved the fact that his female mate was not an easy conquest for him, even though she deeply desired him.
Yes, I have listened to other books in the Nightwalker series and I absolutely love this narrator.
Haven't read the print version.
It was full of action from beginning to end.
Narration fit the characters for me.
Gena Showalter has yet to write a book that I didn't like, and this one held true to that. How any author's imagination can conjure up such amazing, deeply intriguing characters is beyond me---mind boggling to be exact. I must admit, however, that Initially the story was confusing for me; the many different characters introduced too haphazardly. And the narrator's voice grated my nerves. She sounded like a spoiled high school girl with an "I'm better than you are" attitude. She put too much feminine emotion into practically every word which did the male characters a true injustice, toning down their verocity and manliness (at least as much verocity and manliness you can expect from high school aged young men---boys??). Fortunately, there was enough going on with the constant twists and turns of the story to keep me captively engaged in spite of the narrator. I HAD TO KNOW HOW THINGS WERE GOING TO TURN OUT! The ending was not quite as I hoped because it left me still wondering how the heros and heroins of the story would ultimately fair. But to the author's credit, the ending piqued my curiousity enough to ensure I would purchase and read the next book. On another note, I found this book listed in the "paranormal romance" category, but for me it was a slam dunk for the paranormal and lacked substance for a romance rating (and dammit, at least a smidgent of sex would have been nice!). But all in all, the book still merits my 4-star rating.
The male characters in this series are seriously delicious. They know what they want and go after it with a confidence that can't be matched and a will that brooks no argument. Like the two books preceding this one, the storyline in this book is quite entertaining. The intimate scenes are sexually arousing, yet tastefully descriptive. I've thoroughly enjoyed all three books in this series thus far!
I read the whole Fever series and enjoyed each book. I must admit that in the beginning of the series I was a bit disappointed in the lack of steamy sex and romance; but the storyline was still strong enough to keep me flipping the pages and eager for the next book. Overall, I absolutely loved how the sex and romance began to build and get stronger throughout the series, without deteriorating the story. A truly wonderful read!
This Fever series is addictive. The author's incredible writing coupled with the narrator's performance made this an incredible read!
I will keep this review short by saying "get this book" (as well as the others of her "Fever" series). You won't be disappointed, and will find that you can't stop reading!
