Loved this book - favorite audio story to date! Excellent story that crosses so easily from the present, to the past and into the world of Fortuna. The narration was fantastic and I enjoyed the ease by which the narrator could switch characters: male, female, sinister and brilliant. Love this story and highly recommend it!
I loved this story. Chilling adventure of a teen lost in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash. Great for all ages and woven through the story, there are life lessons to be learned that make this a truly wonderful story. The characters are people you can respect and would love to know.
This was an epic story. I never have known a lot about the history of Korea and the Korean War. This brought the conflict to light and I was stunned by the events millions endured. Tragic and yet a story of how a young man can endure loss I cannot imagine, and be true to the goodness in the person he is through it all. This was an amazing story, and it was well told by the narrator. Across the board 5 stars for this audio book.
Love this series. Tough, tender, emotional..exciting. Makes you love the good guy who cannot be corrupted by money or power.
Surprised at how much fun this book was to listen to. Classic tale, with a lusty vampire twist to add to the Mr. Darcy and Miss Elizabeth Bennet tension. Well told!
I laughed through this entire book - Tina is the wittiest and downright funniest person I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. What a great gift to a runner...I actually had a smile on my face the entire book! The best!
Love the imagery and so easy to get completely lost in this wonderful and bold adventure!
Loved the story and enjoyed the narration I was sad when it concluded. It was fun to look forward to this while running or on a hike. So many interesting characters.
Loved the story and this performance by the narrator is one of his finest yet. The timing of story breaks and chapter divisions were perfect. Loved the Russian characters that came alive with the narration. A favorite.
Of the audio books I've listened to this is my favorite. It was a story that pulls on every emotional thread. Having lived in that time, and knowing the racial biases and seeing the great divide of color and opportunity, of justice and injustice this brought those emotions to the surface and another time and place to now. Wonderful story and beautifully narrated. I recommend this highly.
