You’re invited to a celebration of vampires by a baker’s dozen of favorite authors. Sink your teeth into thirteen stories, each one a fresh and unique take on the concept of what birthdays mean to the undead. Suspenseful, surprising, sometimes dark, sometimes humorous – these and eight more frighteningly original stories will ensure you’ll never think of vampires or birthdays quite the same again.

Ok I just wasn't a fan of this anthrolgy. I normally really like Luke Daniels narration but not this time. Everything about this just felt flat to me. There was nothing that kept me interested in this. Like the Dresden story I have heard that story once before and really enjoyed it read by another narrator.

I just had a hard time liking this one as I said the flat tones just never drew me in to any of the stories, maybe the written version would have been better.

I love this series so far. It amazes me how much one little old lady can do. It's funny that no one knows that she is have such great adventures but her neighbor is constantly telling to travel. I can wait to see what she gets into next. The narrator brings these stories to life for me.

I was about to lose a credit because I was about to go over my limit. I just picked this book without even thinking I would like it. But I loved it and can't wait for the next one. I wasn't expecting to get so caught up in this story but how glad I am to be wrong. In the situations she got in to many people much younger would have given up but she always found a way to keep going. Here's to the next book in the series.

This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.

Would you try another book from Christopher Moore and/or Susan Bennett?

The story was really good but the voice ing wasn't.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bloodsucking Fiends?

The beginning when she was discovering what she has become. And her first blood drinking.

Did Susan Bennett do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

No I'm sorry but Susan was a bit on the flat side and each character sounded pretty much the same.

Was Bloodsucking Fiends worth the listening time?

I would have been a better read on paperback.

Being a Girl with Glasses isn't just a style choice; it's a way of life. If you've ever had your specs steam up when walking into a bar, squinted into the sun on the soccer field, or laid eyes on a new haircut only after your locks are strewn across the floor, you know what it's like to be a GWG. Marissa Walsh has worn glasses since third grade. Now - 10 pairs of glasses, one pair of prescription sunglasses, and endless pairs of contacts later - she has fully embraced her four-eyed fate.

For nearly 2,000 years, only one Druid has walked the Earth - Atticus O’Sullivan, the Iron Druid, whose sharp wit and sharp sword have kept him alive as he’s been pursued by a pantheon of hostile deities. Now he’s got company. Atticus’ apprentice, Granuaile, is at last a full Druid herself. What’s more, Atticus has defrosted an archdruid long ago frozen in time, a father figure (of sorts) who now goes by the modern equivalent of his old Irish name: Owen Kennedy. And Owen has some catching up to do.

This book was too short. I'm so ready for the next one! Oberon is my favorite character I know it's silly but he is. Every time I though I knew what was about to happen I was surprised especially since the people that died where not the ones I thought would die. Just wish that more detail was given then the iron was killing fairies as the reason for so much hatred. For me that part was a little rushed but either way I loved it.

Some zombies are raised. Others must be put down. Just ask Anita Blake. Before now, she would have considered them merely off-putting, never dangerous. Before now, she had never heard of any of them causing human beings to perish in agony. But that’s all changed. Micah's estranged father lies dying, rotting away inside from some strange ailment that has his doctors whispering about "zombie disease". Anita makes her living off of zombies - but these aren’t the kind she knows so well. These creatures hunt in daylight, and are as fast and strong as vampires.

This is the Anita I know and love but a little more grown up. I like that this book is starting to close off some of the lose ends cause it was getting a heavy handed with the so many people and story lines. I felt like it was starting to create spinoff characters which didn't always fit with the story we where reading. I've never had a problem with the sex scenes and I still don't. I hope that the next book keeps adding to the main relationship like this one did and doesn't' create more side action till the main setup is straight.
