"What can I say? It's Fascinating"
I love this book & highly recommend the Audiobook because Sally does a tremendous job. Her enthusiasm for the topic is evident which makes this a fun listen. Also, I love how she sometimes deviated from the script to give more background and/or updates.
"Tom Peters is my hero"
I loved this book (though beware that it is REALLY long). Tom is a fabulous narrator & it was so fun having him read his own work because it added the "tone of voice" in which he wrote. I feel like this is a book that I should pull out & listen to about once a year (at least in part) to get a refresher. These are true words to live by.
"Bring something to the table"
The bottom line of social media is to ask yourself, "What can I offer?" instead of looking for what you can get. This is the point being driven home by Chris & Julien. And mostly, they do a good job and have great insight into this new wave of marketing. I would recommend this book for anyone interested in Social Media and increasing their online influence.
I did not particularly care for Julien's reading style because he has a habit of dropping his voice & clipping the ends of sentences.
"Fascinating & Boring at the same time"
I will probably not download anymore books with this narrator because his reading style drove me nuts. He had very little inflection in his voice & often times sounded robotic.
The history of the Civil War was fascinating to me because it had been so long since I studied anything from that time period. I learned a lot about the war and these two, very different Generals.
However, the battles did get a little old after awhile & my fascination started to wane at some point. This could also be because of the narrator's delivery. I mostly enjoyed the opening introductions of these 2 men & the stories about the end of the war. I also appreciated the tie-ins with modern day leadership at the end of each chapter.
"Exactly what I was looking for"
There is so much valuable advice in this book. I came out of it with motivation and a concrete laundry list of things to do. I loved this book!
