"Decent story, poorly read."
This is not one of Sparks best stories in my opinion. It was mostly predictable and slow moving. However, the narrator made it nearly unbearable for me with his "southern" accents. He read it too slowly and I didn't like the narrator's choice of voices for the main characters.
"Really, really boring"
This is not what I expected. Cloning? Really. Maybe if you're a lady you can relate to the author, but not me. Even the climax of the story is like climbing a hill 1 ft tall. Oh, I guess this is it, I said? Really slow. Men, listen elsewhere.
"Fantastic"
I was a bit leery of this one at first but am glad I listened. A beautiful story of brave people during a tumultuous time in our history. Very well written and very well narrated. Another fav added to my list! You will enjoy it.
"If dogs could speak!"
This was an enjoyable read for the most part. I got discouraged at the injustice being described for awhile until I figured out how Denny would handle it and I was correct. The ending made it worth the wait. The insights of Enzo we're hillarious and intriguing. I don't fall for the reincarnation stuff, but hey, it's fiction! If you use your imagination - it works.
Very well written and the narration is great also. Another favorite!
"A wonderful classic"
I really enjoyed this lengthy but beautiful story of Edmund Dantes. The narration was some of the best I've heard. It is very long, with only a couple of times thinking that Dumas was just stretching the text, but most of the time I enjoyed the detours into details and side stories that eventually, ended up being folded into the plot in very ingenious ways. This one has made it to my favorite list and I highly recommend it!
