ATF agent Sean Ozburn is deep undercover, supporting the sicarios of the North Baja Cartel, when he suddenly goes completely dark, leaving Charlie Hood and the support team from Operation Blowdown with a safe house full of bodies and no explanation. Sean’s only communication in the following days consists of a series of haunting digital videos sent to his desperately worried wife, Seliah.

Charles says: "Parker misses with this one, really boring."

I can't believe I listened to this whole book of drivel! The devil is alive and well in LA and Baja controlling DEA agents and sherrif's deputies. Rabies running wild infecting two of the main characters. Listening to a rabies infected, devil inspired, madman and his love letters to his wife. I swear the author forgot his genere and was trying out his chops in the tragic, doomed romance area.

Murder cases have the highest stakes and the biggest paydays, and they always mean Haller has to be at the top of his game. When Mickey learns that the victim was his own former client, a prostitute he thought he had rescued and put on the straight and narrow path, he knows he is on the hook for this one. He soon finds out that she was back in LA and back in the life.

To a lesser degree than some other by same author.

What about Peter Giles’s performance did you like?

    Easy to understand.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

middle of the road - too much guilt! Author made lots of reference to "Lincoln Lawyer" sense of guilt. Got tired of it.

After Special Agent Holly Barker lets international terrorist Teddy Fay slip through her fingers for a second time, the CIA thinks she might want a long vacation, at least until Teddy is captured and the bad publicity has blown over. So Holly returns to her hometown of Orchid Beach, Florida, where she had been police chief for many years. But a very unpleasant surprise awaits her.

A disappoint overall. Some moments of entertainment but too many plot inconsistencies to let me accept novel without disbelieve and out right displeasure. Prime example of author's disrespect to the reader's intelligence. The cops get a warrant to sieze the police chief's car to examine the tread on the right front tire. The judge is in court all day so they can't get the warrant until 4 pm (atificial suspense). Do they post a watch on the car? You guessed it, NO! So when they return with the warrant, (You guessed it again) the chief drove the car to the tire store and bought a new tire. Anyone with an ounce of brains knows that once a decision has been made to seize property, the police keep that property under watch until they can actually serve the warrant.
Too much of this kind of stuff.
I finished the novel just to say I finished it. Save your credits!

Sweeney is a druggist by trade; Danny, his son, is in a persistent coma, the victim of an accident. Hoping for a miracle, they have come to the Peck Clinic, a fortress-like haven in a post-industrial city overrun by gangs. Doctors there claim to have resurrected two patients who were similarly lost in the void.

Why did I listen to this whole novel? I kept thinking each new twist would lead to more explanation. Instead the novel just kept getting more bizarre and confusing. One think about the book I have to mention.... it sure made me think! Think about what a waste of time.... What did it mean? Who CARES! Save your money and even more important your time!

Thirty-four years ago, Violet Sullivan put on her party finery and left for the annual Fourth of July fireworks display. She was never seen again. In the small California town of Serena Station, tongues wagged. Some said she'd run off with a lover. Some said she was murdered by her husband.

Her best story to date. Plot was believable and entertaining. I enjoyed the character's inner thoughts and actions and how Milhorn must solve the mystery without knowledge of that information we have as listeners. I can't wait for the next T is for ???
