Over the last few months I have listened to COUNTLESS supernatural romances, and when I saw this one on sale I figured what the heck.....OMG this is by far the best supernatural romance that I have listened to yet! The Narrator...Hats off to him...He was good...really good! I wish that all of Kresley Coles's Immortals series were on audible....
While this book was very sad, it also had me on the edge of my seat. Nothing really seemed to work out in Lilith's favor. The brutality of this book was unspeakable and unimaginable, but I found the story line interesting, and let's face it while the book is brutal there lies a certain truth to that brutality. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to friends of mine.
It was not bad. Was it memorable? No not really! I was not "fascinated" by the book. When I read something I look for that WOW factor...something that has me recalling the book and its characters in my memory. Quite honestly the characters and plot were very forgetful after the book was over. However I will read the third book in the series when it comes out.
The brutality depicted in this book was unspeakable, so much so that I do not think I would ever be able to watch the movie. It was a very sad account of Solomon Northrup's life to be born free, educated, and then kidnapped and sold into bondage for 12 years. As sad as it was, I could not help but to smile when he received his freedom once again.
I have to say I was NOT a fan of "Gone Girl" the climax and then the flaccid ending sort of pissed me off. I have to say that "Dark Places" kept my interest straight through. I cannot wait to see how they put it into film as the move is to come out towards the end of this year. Movies are never usually as good as the book, but hopefully the producers and directors of the movie will do this book justice. I am going to listen to "Sharp Objects" with the hopes that it will be good also.
I have to say I expected a little bit more for the last "Kat and Bones" book. It pretty much reminded me of "Underworld Awakening". With that said I will miss Kat and Bones, but all good things have to come to an end.
This was pretty good....I knew I was going to like it when I heard Adam's X-wife was coming back into town. Mercy Thompson is BACK! Not to mention that the narrator is one of my favorites!
I was apprehensive at first.... I mean c'mon "The Maze Runner".... since reading the Hunger Games I was looking for a book that could keep my interest as much as that trilogy did. The Maze Runner was pretty good. There were some parts that had me rolling my eyes, but the last hour had me on the edge of my seat. So much so that I downloaded the next in the trilogy because I cannot wait to see what happened. Now I can't wait for the movie!
This book was not bad....not bad at all. I wish they would reveal Mab's heir already....I can't wait to see who it is.
This book is my absolute favorite so far in this series!! I cried, laughed, and could not stop listening! I cannot believe the events that unraveled in this book. I am soooo hooked on this series, but I do not know if another book in this series can compare! I have already downloaded the next in the series!!!
I could not get into this book...I stopped listening half way through and will not continue on with the series.
