A good story about sisters trying to reconnect after having very different lives and a lot of misunderstandings. A good give and take and having the courage to look at their life situations, having the courage to see the other person's point of view and yet accept their own life and what it was and what it is now. Oh, don't forget the man and his daughter and the love that develops with one of the sisters. Enjoy, light hearted and enjoyable. Therese Plummer is one of my favorite narrators.
The over all story is good. The love story between Grace and Troy is good, and finding out who Grace really is, but the ending just left me cold. Some might say it was okay, but I was left feeling like, that's it? Well ok. Maybe we'll learn more in the next book.
Zane Mackenzie is a Navy SEAL - he is very capable, knowledgeable and intuitive and of course he is kind and gentle to the woman he has rescued and fallen in love with. What a story. I have listened to this book at least five times and each time I enjoy it as much as the first time. The Mackenzie's are a special family. I love all of the Mackenzie books. Dennis Boutsikaris is perfect for narrating this book.
I use to like Robyn Carr - but every character has to have so much drama, so many feelings, so much hurt, so much discovery. I might as well watch the soaps on TV. Just can't take it any more.
Some times you are just wanting something a little different - well this isn't it. This is not one of Debbie's best books or middle as far as that is concerned. A few more twist and turns would have helped.
I forced myself to finish this book. The story was different but yet the same. The narrator was ok but not my favorite. I wouldn't really recommend this book
My first Christina Dodd book. I loved the story, the characters and the narrator. Each character is very unique and Natalie Ross is right on with the voices and tempo of the book. I have listened to this book three times and I will listen to it again because it is so enjoyable. Definitely worth the credit.
I am not usually into this kind of book, but I found it interesting and entertaining. I like the characters. The only thing this author does that personally I don't like is spend too much time telling the reader what the character is thinking instead of conversation. I like more conversation. But all and all it was worth the credit and I might listen to another book in the series.
I read all of the other reviews before deciding to finish the series. At first I thought they were wrong, but as the story continued I just lost interest. Too much going on, doesn't stay with the other two books enough and like many others said, it needed more of Valek. Yelena kind of gets on my nerves in this book. Half of the middle of the book should have been skipped, got right to the point of the last part and it would have been better.
I like Shane and Annabelle. The story is somewhat typical, but put it with the other wonderful Stryker family and of course all of the Fool's Gold family and you have a winner.
This was a totally different kind of book for me. I wasn't for sure if I would like it but the reviews were good so I went for it. My husband & I both liked it. We like the characters, the plots and the writing style of the author. The book moves with ease and keeps you wanting more. Definately worth the credit. I am going on for the 2nd & 3rd book in this series.
