I don't normally write reviews and I have never written a review that was less then a wow but I have to say I was a little disappointed in this book. I enjoyed the first book and have listened to it several times but this one was confusing and overall it seemed to be kind of a downer. Even though I did not enjoy this book as much as the first I will buy the third book.
I am a hugh fan of J.R. Ward I started with The Black Dagger Brotherhood so when I found the Fallen Angels series I bought it without question. I will admit at first I didn't think I would like Jim but I am so glad I kept listening. I really liked Adrian & Eddie from the beginning and I am glad to see Eddie back with them in this book. This is a great ending to the series and I think it is awesome that Adrian & Eddie are going to play some role in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I can't wait to see them with Lassiter.
The story line really has very little to do with the Wyr or other parts of the Elder Races. The focus is the vampyres specifically on Xavier and who he is and what his role is working for the Nightkind King.
When Tess first meets Xavier she thinks of him as a monster. Tess spends weeks training and learning about the Elder Races. Tess slowly begins to see that Xavier is not a monster and just when things are heating up between them Xavier is betrayed. The romance between Tess and Xavier is not as hot and fast as some of the other books in this series but it works great. I really enjoyed Night's Honor and I am looking forward to the next book from Thea Harrison!
Awesome book! Wow I really didn't see the twists coming. I really enjoyed listening to Branislava and Zev story. I also liked hearing how Skyler and Dimitri are doing along with many other couples.
Brawn and Becca's story may be my favorite in this series so far. Brawn struggles to understand Becca and she doesn't make it easy. It is great how things workout in the end.
This book is awesome! You get to see not only what is going on for the Black Dagger Brotherhood but there is so much going on with the Shadows, Layla, Xcor and Assail. Jim Frangione did an exceptional job narrating as always! Can't wait for the next book!
Very steamy from the start. I didn't see some of the twists coming but I really liked the book. This is the first book I have listened to by this author but I plan on checking out other books by Angelica Boone!
yes I was up all night listening!
I hate that the series is over but Up From the Grave managed to tie up pretty much everything. This book was a little different from the others in the series but I am happy to see that Cat & Bones relationship didn't take quite as much of a beating this time around. Although Bones did play a pretty dirty trick! I really enjoyed the book and I hope this will not be the last we see of Bones & Cat! Great story and Tavia Gilbert was great once again.
This series just keeps getting better. I can't wait until the next book comes out
I loved Amy and Fang's story! The book back tracked a little in the beginning but that filled in some blank spots. I am glad that Holter Graham is back the last two books narrators were not my favorite.
