All of a sudden Kay was in the militar in her early career? This book felt contrived and I thought it was difficult to follow. I started over when I was in the middle of it because I thought I had missed something. Narrator added a lilt to the her voice at the end of each sentence which makes this audiobook hard to listen to. No more Cornwell for me.

The recent capture of Bin Ladin made this book even more pertinent and interesting. The narrator was fantastic. At first I thought the author had narrated the book himself because of the strong feeling and intonations that were used in the narration.

Aside from the fact that the narration is so poor, I was dismayed to find that I had paid money for a book that portrays all American involvement in the world as evil and imperialistic.

Greaney uses words to paint an exciting picture of the action in this book. You can visualize exactly what is happening and what the locale is like.
Wonderful book and a great ending too - made sense and tied everything together.

Louise Penny meets all expectation with her new book. Her main setting is not Three Pines this times even though she does have a subplot occurring there. All in all a great book, lots of twists and turns. I hope her next book, however, takes place completely in Three Pines. They city and the characters there are a lot more interesting.

This book was gross and disgusting. Not even Jeff Lindsay can make cannibalism "funny."

This was a great story and very well told. I couldn't give it 5 stars because I believe it was unecessarily crude at times. The author didn't need these vulgar references to contribute to her story. it was good enough without them.
