"not that funny"
i like patton, he's a funny dude.but this book is not funny and jumps all over the place. maybe i just was in the wrong mood, but i just didnt get much enjoyment out of it
"horrible narration!"
The narrator was so bad that i could not finish this book. Which is sad because the story was ok. Its also in third person, which takes getting use to. But i dont care how good the story is, i wanted to stab my ears listening to this dude. The clip i listened to was not bad, thats why i got the book. But 10 min in i regretted buying it
"Not bad"
I was not sure what to expect with this book. I didnt know if it was going to lean more towards the twilight side of vampires lore or more toward the underworld side. Well if I had to pick, I would say twilight, but a little better. Im not that big a fan of twilight. The story was interesting, not Super predictable. It does have kind of a chick flick feel to it guys, so if you are a dude looking for an underworld type vampire story this is not the one for you. Im not saying that there is no action or thrills in it though, because there is. Its just that some parts kind of read like one of those women's sex fantasy books you see with the long haired muscle hunk holding a half naked chick on the cover. The sex parts made me laugh out loud! But that aside, the book was a fun listen.... well that is after I got over the narrators voice, that took some getting use to. Ill give you some advice, listen to the sample of this book before getting it. If you cant handle that bad accent, dont get this book, because it will continue threw out the book. Over all, not a bad story, i enjoyed it. Would i recommend it? yeah, if you really liked twilight and books like that, this one is an enjoyable listen. and if you dont like twilight ( like me) this one is still worth a free credit shot in the dark
"Not as good as the podcast, but still good."
Don't get me wrong, this book is very interesting. But it falls just short of the podcast that comes out about 2 times a month. Mainly because the podcast has a little bit better production value. But that is really the only beef I had. It is still a very fun listen. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you are like me, and you like using some of the topics to start fun debates with your friends
"Not bad"
Im not a huge star wars fan, but i did enjoy the movies and wanted to know what happens next. the story was ok, not super action packed but it did have some good action parts. the narration was by far the best part of the book and what kept my attention. the music and sound was great, and the narrator had good voice range and an array of voices to mix it up with. they even distorted he voice so that he actually sounded like C3PO. the story kind of dragged in places not too bad. overall i was happy with the book, but i wouldnt listen a 2nd time, once was enough
"great listen, would recommend to any zombie lover"
this was a very well written story. i enjoyed every min of it. the only prob i had and the reason i didnt give it 5 performance stars, is because i really didnt like 2 of the voice actors... but overall the voice work was great! a must listen for any zombie lover
"better then the actual book"
this audio book is more like a 7 hour rant by adam. if you like his podcast, you will love this book! its just like the podcast, but without the guests. its adam in his prime. he even goes on rants that arent in the real book. it was supper fun to listen to, and a must listen for anyone that likes tell it like it is non politically correct humor!
