"Riveting."
I found this book to be completely engrossing. It was realistic and believable. Great listen. I love Michael Palmer and he did not disappoint with this one.
"Best Read I've had for some time..."
Haven't read it, just listened.
Definitely....every event was not what I expected.
They were both believable and easy to listen to.
Yes.
This book was unlike any other in recent memory. The closest I can think of is War of the Roses, but not really like that either. There were really no "humorous" moments, just intense ones. Amy's character was incredibly smart and she proved she knew her husband better than anyone else, including his twin sister. She guessed how he would react in any situation and proved consistently to be right. The book was long, but never ever got boring in my opinion. I'll definitely read this writer again!
"Disappointing, a total let-down."
If I saw decent reviews. I've always liked his work, with the exception of the Odd Thomas books. This one had not yet been reviewed when I got it. Big Mistake.....Looks like he threw something together just to have something to release. It was long, repetitive and boring...I just kept hoping it would end soon. I finally just quit without finishing it.
Everything. I'm not sure he really wrote this sad attempt.
Disappointment.
Until now, I've always bought Dean Koontz books with no second thought. Will think twice (or more) in the future before wasting a credit on him.
"I would give it no stars if that were an option."
This is the worst novel and narrator I have ever wasted a credit on. I only downloaded it because of all the positive reviews. It was long ( thought it would never end) and the fact that I listened to it all attests to my aversion to wasting money. Please don't waste yours.
"Wonderful listen."
I have avoided downloading this book for months because it just didn't seem like something I would enjoy. Then I read through all the reviews by other listeners, They were all so positive, I decided to risk a credit on it. I'm so glad I did. I enjoyed it more than most any other book I have downloaded this year. I fell in love with Jack and whoever did his voice is just amazing. It was so refreshing to listen to young Jack discover all the things we all take for granted,.
If you've been hesitating about this one, go ahead and try it. You won't regret it.
"If there was less than 1 star..."
This was the biggest waste of a credit imaginable. The story line sounded interesting, but it was far from that. I finished it, but only because I had nothing else to listen to or read. I normally listen constantly every day to a book, this I kept skipping whole days and feeling like I was wasting my time. Hope he doesn't write anything else.
"Frankenstein 2005"
I have never been a fan of Frankenstein, but decided to give this a chance because it was Dean Koontz. Can't believe it. It was great! Guess I shouldn't be surprised, Dean can even make Frankenstein new and interesting.
"Black is Unique"
I found black to be intriguingly different than most books I've ready. Typically, I'm not much in to fantasy or romance, but this
book held me spellbound...I can't wait for Red and White if they are half as good.
