"Best Installment So Far!"
The subplot about the 14th century glass-making guilds was fascinating. I appreciate the background research that the author puts into her work.
The mystery mother finally speaks! Cannot wait to see if she pops up in the next book.
"Unexpectedly Delightful."
After slogging through several non-fiction books dealing with war, torture, and the like, I was relieved to find this light-hearted book that combines a mystery/puzzler sort of book that combines history, computers, friendship and, of course, books.
The solving of the puzzle, of course.
A credible job doing the numerous voices.
I listened to this book over three days, including stretches on the treadmill and during lunch at my desk.
"better than reviews"
I had seen JK Rowling interview on The Daily Show, where I was reminded of her years spent living in a housing project like The Fields.
her characters seem a throwback to Jane Austen's. I suppose I was reminded of Persuasion, only without the happy ending. I cried at the end, just like JK Rowling said that I should.
