Deftly written and emotionally powerful, Drowning Ruth is a stunning portrait of the ties that bind sisters together and the forces that tear them apart, of the dangers of keeping secrets and the explosive repercussions when they are exposed. A mesmerizing and achingly beautiful debut.

Why are these two people friends? This book is expertly written and humoursly woven around a tragic situation. The writing of this book must have been quit hard to write. The things Margaret does to her friend are unforgiveable. I loved it and cried at the end - Life is a cruel taskmaster - it is important for all of us to discover our talent and not copy from someone's life - it can come to the crumbling of oneself and friendship - As usual Blair reads it so good!

When the NSA's invincible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant, beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage, not by guns or bombs, but by a code so complex that if released it would cripple U.S. intelligence.

While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, a baffling cipher found near the body. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, sort through the bizarre riddle, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci, clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Another genius writing from the mind of Dan Brown. It is a chilling, thrilling book that I could not put down! I thought this book warrants a movie deal with Michael Douglas playing the lead! The book kept me guessing with mystic anticipation and the book was written in the style of a master writer! Dan must be a mystic - his writing proclaims that he is. I never read the paper book - however, the way the book is read is absolutely outrageous! I loved all the characters and found that Dan has once again written another masterpiece. A must hear and read! Can't wait to see which mystical order he writes about - mm - could it be the Rosicrucians? Freemasons? I await on bated breath for the new inspiring follow up in 2005!

This book is another jewel from the mind of Dan Brown. I learned about government departments, secret weapons and deep and intuitive areas of the political arena I never knew! Dan is such a deep and truthful writer - I think he lived through it all! This is one book to keep and I love how it is read! The reader is GREAT!

With all the intrigue, knowlege and drama Dan writes about - I think he lived through it all! A book to listen to and read! Can't wait til 2005! Dan Brown is a genius! All of his books should be a movie! I love this book!

    Overall

This book is awesome! If you are into mysticism since the 70's and know about events and sybolism that many never would even talk about way back when as it was cloaked and kept secret - then this book is for you! Not only is it exciting and very provacative - it reveals all things that I thought were to be secret!! Dan is the man when it comes to writing about the mysteries! I loved it and could not put it down. I devoured this book and cannot wait for his next book! The unrevealed is being revealed - and it is not a woman doing it - so who now cannot keep the ancient secrets! I loved this man's writing! It is so good!
