What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Shortening the constant miscomunication between the characters, even thier epiphonies were not spoken between them. Also the reader made this an awfull listen, her enunciations felt as if she was working hard to dumb this story down . I do not believe this story needed to be dumbed down anymore than its original intention which seemed as it was written for the truley disfunctional relationship.

What could Tessa Dare have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Perhaps the characters could have learned by thier mistakes and miss-comunications.The angst levels where crazy even for a bodest ripper. This appeared drawn out for the number of pages needed.

What didn’t you like about Helen Moore-Gillon’s performance?

Her speaking voice was strained and her enunciation of the wording was painfull to listen to ,see the first question.

What character would you cut from Goddess of the Hunt?

    The aunt.

    Any additional comments?

Very dissapointed. This was awfull to listen to.I bought it with the $4.99 sale and it was so bad I would love to get a refund even for the $ 4.99.

What did you love best about Captive in the Dark?

I liked how well the characters were written. They had depth .

What did you like best about this story?

The characters were well written. The story line was well paced and the characters had depth.

What about Emily Durante’s performance did you like?

She did a good job using her voice inflection for each character witch gave them more depth.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

This book was full of moments that effected me. Not especially comfortable ones. This is a disturbing story, for me it was difficult to listen to. Its very well written but the problem for me is that I know this is very real for many boys and girls, aprox. 35 every day from the U.S. alone. So there was a very disturbing gross feeling about this story

    Any additional comments?

This was difficult on many so many levels. I don't have a problem with BDSM,sometimes its fun and hot, this isn't anything like that. This is a very twisted story line. This is such a hard book to rate because its well written but uncomfortable in the extreme so I could not feel I could punish the author because of my personal tastes. Be very careful though in regards to choosing this one.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Maybe , it would depend on the possibility that my friend could stand the narration. PLEASE do your self a favor and preview the book so you can experience the voice of the narrator before purchasing this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Consequences?

    The Minnie mouse voice.

How could the performance have been better?

I am sure that the narrators voice is appropriate for many books. DEFINATELY NOT THIS ONE. I had to talk myself into listening every minute of the narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    no

    Any additional comments?

DEAR GOD THINK WHEN HIRING THE VOICE THATS READING. This book was ruined for me by the silly, annoying, obnoxious pitch of her voice . I am not trying to be insulting to this narrator but she was not doing herself a service by doing this job.

He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book to a friend. I would tell them to skip this one and go to the next one in the series Beautiful Player. The narrators were perfect in Beautiful Player, especially Sebastion York. Mr. York could read aloud a menu and it would be seductive.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Obviously this ending was a set up for more books that relate to this story. I don't think I will bother .I HATE being played.

What three words best describe Grace Grant’s performance?

    EEHH, just ok.

Do you think Beautiful Bastard needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

This has a follow up book and I will not bother . Actually if there is a different reader and the writing improves then yes I would give it chance. Probably not.

    Any additional comments?

For me the reader was a bit annoying to listen to. The next book in this series is the one I listened to first and the reader is Sebastion York and someone else. The truth is after listening to Mr. York I could not stand this reader. This readers voice was little girl sounding, witch was annoying.

If you could sum up Beautiful Player in three words, what would they be?

    orgasmic, overload, outrageous.

What other book might you compare Beautiful Player to and why?

There is no comparison out there.

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant and Sebastian York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

So, Sebastian York could read a menu out loud and it would sound absolutely sexy. Mr. York has no one to compare to him. He has the best voice for reading.

    Any additional comments?

Holy bageebies, this is a really good fantasy- erotic novel.

    Story
What made the experience of listening to Tangled the most enjoyable?

Man oh man the reader is fantastic. Also the writing is an excellent, brutally honest, poignant story with a touch of memoir thrown in. I did need to get over some of the crude language, it wasn't painful to do. I just had to be patient and listen to point of the stories dialogue.

Who was your favorite character and why?

DREW. He was a guy at the beginning of the book. His character was very strong and self knowing. At the end he was a guy who didn't change in a false way. He was still strong and given a turn of self knowing. Kind of an a------,but real and likable, not apologetic of who he was and chose to be different.

What about Sebastian York’s performance did you like?

His voice is drop dead sexy. I love his inflections of the characters in the story. This is the best male narrative of any story I have heard and I have listened to hundreds of books.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I am not certain of the exact wording but I would go with how it's like hearing how men think in their heads in an unfiltered, raw way.

    Any additional comments?

I was shocked when I realized that the writing was done by a woman because of how the main character sounded like a real guy. Unfiltered. I had been raised with obnoxious brothers and had many guy friends growing up. I also worked in a 95% male industry for 18 years. Believe me when I say that the dialogue had an honesty about it. All in a good way, so cudos to the authoress Emma Chase.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

THE NARRATOR!! I wanted to give up on this story numerous times because of how irritating the narrators voice is.This was painful to listen to,enough so I found myself grinding my teeth together. There is little or no inflection in the narrators voice and she ends each sentence with an up note. Also there is the feeling that she is not able to breath correctly.HOW IRRITATING!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Wicked Deeds of Daniel MacKenzie?

I personally could not point out an individual most memorable moment. The story was a struggle to pay attention to because of the narration.

How could the performance have been better?

A different reader. How about Susan Duerden , Faye Adele,Mary Jane Wells?

What would have made this romance irresistible?

A different reader, yes. But I think that this story could have benefitted with a male and female reader on this project.I find the male scottish voice silly sounding when a woman performs it.As a broad generalization.

    Any additional comments?

    No ,I think I have vented enough,Thanks.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Rosie Project to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version, which is not usual for me. I am very happy I was able to listen to this. The narrator made this for me like a cherry on the top of sundae.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Rosie Project?

I will never forget the section starting with the dance lessons with the skeleton.

What about Dan O'Grady’s performance did you like?

Love his voice. The narrators inflection was perfect.I am awful with accents,I can't hear them well and compute them.Dan O'Grady's was easy for me and still Australian.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

What disappointed you about The Empress’ New Clothes?

This turned out to be silly to me.I don't believe I have ever found a "racey" story to be so silly. That is what happened for me 1/4 of the way in. Geeesh how awfull.

What was most disappointing about Jaid Black’s story?

The vocabulary, setting, story line.("comely onyx wench")or how about ("is for a certainty"). I could go on for a day I am sorry to say.

What aspect of Tillie Hooper’s performance would you have changed?

The performance reading was actually good. The only good part"for a certainty."

What character would you cut from The Empress’ New Clothes?

    Uuugh.Too loaded of a question.

I hate finding a story presents itself as Romantica that seems so very silly.

If you could sum up Shadowfever in three words, what would they be?

    Whine whine whine

What could Karen Marie Moning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Have the main character,Mac, evolve more concistantly.I could not stand all of this characters second guessing after 4 books.Show me the growth.Actually if this was a paper book I would have cheated and skipped many of the passages that I thought where redundant.

Have you listened to any of Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I thought the reading was good even though I had difficult time adjusting to the new naration after the same previous 4 readings.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book drove me crazy!! All of Macs epiphonies never seamed to stay with the characters evolution.I found this to be very annoying,as if the series was being dragged out to the point of being irritating.UUUGH!!I felt very manipulated.

    Any additional comments?

I wonder if the auther was manipulated by editing to drag this seris out.The previous books seemed to have a story line with more integrity.
