Having completed the two cycles of legend to which she has devoted her career so far, Anne Rice gives us now her most ambitious and courageous book, a novel about the early years of Christ the Lord, based on the Gospels and on the most respected New Testament scholarship.

The book's power derives from the passion its author brings to the writing and the way in which she summons up the voice, the presence, the words of Jesus who tells the story.

Would you consider the audio edition of Christ the Lord to be better than the print version?

I had not read the print version of the book. However, since the audiobook was unabridged, I imagine I would have enjoyed the audio version more.

What did you like best about this story?

It truly gave personality to Christ, Mary, Joseph, and all of the Characters we have read about and have been taught about in Sunday School. It brought Humanity to our Savior.

Which character – as performed by James Naughton – was your favorite?

I enjoyed the character of Yeshua, of course.

Would you consider the audio edition of Wicked Nights to be better than the print version?

I did not read the print version, but Loved the audio version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Annabelle was my favorite character because her journey represents a reality many endure but few are aware of.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scene where the love Zacharel gives her after the negative transformation restores her goodness and beauty, yet shows her the consequences of giving in to the negative,

    Any additional comments?

I am excited to get to the remainder of this series as I was blown away by the Lords of The Underworld series.

Have you ever felt that your life was guided by larger forces? Unseen but very real energies that influence every direction your life takes? In her renowned work as a medical intuitive, Caroline Myss examined the patterns of hundreds of archetypes that exist in human consciousness, and found that each of us has a "sacred support team" of 12 primary archetypes. Once identified, these archetypes allow you to discover your highest purpose, what she calls your "Sacred Contract".

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to a friend, because it helps to explain the personality traits of oneself and those in one's lives.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed learning about the different archetypes. It would have been better if there was a question/answer piece to help us understand or at least recognize all of our 12 archeteypes.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book, like Carolyn Myss' other works had a ring of truth to it, and I would truly love to learn more about archetypes to better understand myself and those I have contracts with.

This workshop, recorded live in Chicago, Illinois, focuses on how to find your life's mission, or "Sacred Contract." By coming to know your mission, you can live your life in a way that makes best use of your energy. Finding out where you invest your energetic currency can show you how to manage your power as opposed to being managed by it.
