"I wish I'd liked it more"
Truly.....by the time I read this book it had been in my library for a few months so I'd forgotten the reviews. I thought it was a first book by this author until I came back to the page and saw other reviews. I found it slow and a bit boring.......the dialogue felt forced. It will be tough for me to give this author another chance.
"The Narration Takes Getting Used To"
I haven't read the print version.
Bethia.....such a strong and competent woman. Open minded and forward thinking.
I'm not sure.......I seldom have the time to read a print version of a book. At first I didn't like the narration at all. But as I listened to the story itself I felt Ms. Ehle was trying to speak as one would during that time in history. She enunciates every work and speaks rather stiffly.
Yes, after getting used to the narration.
"Great Narrator.....great story"
I've not read the print version but Ray Porter is an excellent narrator and makes the characters come alive.
That there is nothing supernatural about the zombies.......they are all man/science made.
Joe Ledger! By the time I was a few pages into the book I had a crush on him. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, Ray Porter IS Joe Ledger.
No idea........
So worth the credit. This book kept my attention from beginning to end, even the second time around when I listened with my husband. Fun and entertaining.
"Didn't want this book to end"
I loved this book! The story, the characters.....everything. I finished Triptych on my way home from work at 2AM and stayed up long enough to buy and download the next book in the series so I can listen to a little before I sleep. I can't wait to find out what Will Trent and Angie Polaski are up to in the next book. I'm not from the south but I found the reader's accent to be just fine!
"Inspiring"
I loved this book and couldn't stop listening. I feel motivated to go beyond my comfort zone after reading Finding Ultra. An amazing man with an terrific story to tell.
I think I will end up buying the print edition of this book in addition to the audio version so I can refer to the info regarding plant based eating and endurance training.
This book is inspiring, engaging, open and honest. I can't wait to read more about or by Rich Roll
"Can't get this book out of my head......"
I didn't love this book but I can't seem to let it go either. I wanted more detail about the characters early on in the book but the twists and turns of the last chapters made up for it.
"I didn't want it to end!"
I loved this book and didn't want it to end. I laughed, cried and cheered. Absolutely a book I will listen to again. I'll be looking for more by this author.
"Loved the narrator........."
Jim Dale is an fabulous narrator........I wonder if he was as bored performing this book as I was reading it. So very disappointed. Listening to Jim Dale's truly amazing voice was the only thing that got me through this book.
"Pointless"
I didn't like this book at all! I forced myself to listen to ten hours and then gave up. If you don't enjoy romance novels this book is NOT for you. I truly don't understand all of the five star reviews.
"Wish I could give this NO stars"
Don't waste a credit on this book. I think I have read almost everything Koontz has written and this is by far the worst.....so bad I get irritated when ever I listen, so I quit three hours into the book. This book is so bad I don't care to find out what happens to any of the characters. I feel so let down by the author and will not be buying future books until they've been out long enough to have plenty of reviews. Mr Koontz, I'm sure you have plenty of money from your previous best sellers....why would you want your faithful readers to have to wade through something this bad. You are better than this.
