People often find faith when a) Their parents bring them up in itB) when a crisis occurThe author had no real choice as a child, her uncle being the new leader in Scientology, while her parents eagerly worked for the org.I hate the word cult and feel people use it wrongly. With Sciontology I must ask, if you can save us, why charge fees few can pay?You see, I think their is something good in the famous book "Dianetics" but it is NOT a church. Each member is isolated to avoid doubt and unlike Christian Churches which people may leave and then comeback, I have yet to hear an ex-sciontologist wish to return.People state that most cults remain because people want to come back. Scientology however becomes smaller as time goes on. This story is a tragedy, because too many can say it did not just happen to this author. Ex-sciontologists worldwide can give the same account. They can because the system is the same. For Sciontologies official version of their faith go to scientology you owe them to see their side too. After all, faith is a human right.
This is a story of faith turned into a fanatic money marchine. Their is nothing to like, yet facts to learn.
She read it nice and clear
"My life inside Dianetics"
If you are an active scientologist and enjoy it, good for you! It is your right to practice what you desire as long as your kid gets the ame choice. A one-time listen I am very glad I bought. Well written and most importantly:She has proof which is a must.
Yes: The details regarding "home-rules" vs. "Home-rules" is something we all need to look closer at. The way friendships are formed left me feeling like i have been along them myself. The different political standpoints where also very interresting. I am so happy i bought this book, i could not stop listening.
The honesty and the facts that you feel that you have gotten to know some amazing people
They are all important because this is a memoair. But i do think Michelle mention Ani de franco once. You can never avoid digging another Ani fan.
"From home to chaos"
I have never read the physical - copy. Emma Galvin gives an honest voice to both the living and the dead.
This book does not shield you with theraputic guidelines.
A well - worth listen.
This amazing book contains stories in the stories
The last 6 - hours. Please listen-to-it
This author does not try to be hardcore nor is he playing victim. He said he wrote the book as therapy and I dare say it is great to hear from him on patrol one day talking to a kid or joking with his fellow "angels". He also provide insight into the margins between life and death. Love and pain. You get to tap along to tap along and because he should be a coming you need to get ready for a lot of hard laughter. War sadly kill so keep some tissues close.
I have never heard anything like it.
The pilot scene over the radio. Since it is a memoir I pick a scene rather than a person.
I would have kept the title.
Even though she used language from a course in miracles and says what Dyer, Tolle, Bernstein etc has told us (Those of us into self - development) it is in my opinion a memoir NOT self - development . This did not make me laughed at all.
No! I love self - development books Which aim to give you great steps to take in order to do life miracle minded.
I would love to see her evolved. So I might give furter listens a chance.
I quit after a couple of hours.
I decided to return it.
Travel,coming of age,life
When she met her new friemd in the second part.
D. He shows we have a sacred choice about who to be in ANY situation.
Yes. It was like I was the girl that day.
Totally like being in EU and college. This is one of the lstens I wish I had at the age of 18. A must if you are 15-30 and if you have a teen in the house.
I hate to give traditional ranking to audiobooks. The reason is there are in my own opinion, no fair way to rank audiobooks. Different categories cannot be ranked in the same manner...In my opinion, this book is worthy of five stars based on the following: It is the first book by Joyce Meyer which I feel I have been personal, uplifting, and it is a book you will go back to again and again. The narrator is perfect, her voice is so calming. I really wish she could have red power thoughts because I tried listening to power thoughts ho
The moment I saw the Truth: Mega-pastors(I call them Christian "rock-Stars". They have millions watching them on TV or online, plus thousands of fans at the event itself. What des this mean? She has wisdom and communication-skills to reach all self-development addicts no matter what they call a higher-power. The reference to 250 scriptures might make you say "No way!" However, the references are a boost. The way she explains them will give faith in her way of thinking. It even helped me!By which I mean if you are tired of always going inward( Sometimes we need to know we are great and not alone, right?)
Fantastic! So calming.
As far as I understand she preaches a series on the books topics.
Female - power, friends love
The Kite runner! They both discuss Afghanistan and the people who lives there. This book addresses the female but unlike the follow - up to The kite - runner this leaves you with hope. The help: Also about friends and the fight for FreedomWho asked you? Same topic
She gives each their true voice.
Jack: A brave man who is not afraid to risk his life to save his female friends.
Totally wow - listen! Honesty, I have listened 20 times since buying it and I am delighted to say it still takes me to new levels.
Yes. This is far to amazing to miss. It is indeed a journey inside the head of somebody between here and the other side. It contains laughter, music a Patti smith ref. In short: The best five hours I have spent( Even yogi ' s need a miracle listen.
When Adam land a punk- plan to get into the I.C.U.
She Is one Perfect Reader
I laughed and cried.
This amazing book will wrap - your thoughts around.
I never give listens rankings. This book is more mature. No eye.rolling or "She said he said" you meet a woman who speaks her Truth. Forget any cry-baby pages . This lady knows how to stand-up for herself. My favorite by the author so far. It is better written and if you are digging her earlier books: Grab it! New to the author? You do not need the other stories to enjoy this.
Walking disaster, beautiful disaster, who asked you, out of easy. They all contain great stories about interesting characters. Who asked you? Is in a league of it's own.
Sounded a little too much like Emma Galvin..; that is not a bad thing. The characters should have sounded a bi older.
" The secret brother"
Perfect summer listen. Credit worthy for any girl over 18. Not like 50 shades a all. However does sadly contain a few adult scenes. You can pass them if you prefer they do not contain any info..They have been added to include 50.fans. In my opinion.
