Declan Fitzgerald had always been the family maverick, but even he couldn't understand his impulse to buy a dilapidated mansion on the outskirts of New Orleans. All he knew was that ever since he saw Manet Hall, he'd been enchanted - and obsessed - with it. So when the opportunity to buy the house comes up Declan jumps at the chance to live out a dream.

This was great. Coupled with romance, mystery and a little supernatural made it a winner to me. A big plus were the narrators.

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare, woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of temptation, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point.

First of all, I saw the movie before listening to the book. The book was much better than the movie. Breaking Dawn was great way to end the series.

Disavowed from his bloodline, shunned by the aristocracy, he has finally found an identity as one of the most brutal fighters in the war against the Lessening Society. But his life is not complete. Story

I had been waiting on this book and I must say I liked the book; however, I expected more of a storyline for Qhuinn/Blay. Ultimately, I was happy that Qhuinn and Blay finally got together but I felt that the issues with Saxton, Lailah and Qhuinn/Blay egos made their love story boring at some point. Aside from that, I enjoyed the book and hope there are more books to come for the Black Daggar Brotherhood series.

    Story

I enjoyed the first book of the Secret Circle. The book introduced many characters that the television series did not. Needless to say, Faye was a character that I loved to hate. She comes off as self serving and just plain mean spirited. The main character Cassie can be a bit pitiful at times. I will continue to listen to the Secret Circle series, and I hope Cassie will transition into a powerful witch and stop being so pitiful.

Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.

I must admit the book was off to a slow start; however I am glad I hung in there. I was surprised by the ending and happy it ended the way it did.
