Mitt Romney has masterfully positioned himself as the front-runner for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Even though he's become a household name, the former Massachusetts governor remains an enigma to many in America, his character and core convictions elusive, his record little known. Who is the man behind that high-wattage smile? In this definitive, unflinching biography by Boston Globe investigative reporters Michael Kranish and Scott Helman, listeners will finally discover the real Romney.

It seems to me that there is very little information about Mitt Romney that is easily accessible. This book, after the first read, left me with the impression that I know Mitt Romney better and understand a little more of who he is. I believe it was written from a mostly unbiased perspective and mentions both good and not so good impressions. This book feels like a documentary.

This 24-lecture series is your guide to the latest information and viewpoints on what scientists know about this fascinating subject. Taught by an award-winning teacher whose training as a clinical psychologist straddles both the science of the mind and its impact on individual lives, their comprehensive approach reveals how that science applies to the life of our species - and to your own life as well. The lectures explore theories about how the mind works on both an evolutionary and individual scale.

Very good teacher. I would recommend this book to all people, but especially to young people. These lectures help us to understand ourselves and others better. The brain, genes, and environments. This is in lecture format, so if at first you find them boring, do not stop. You will not know what you missed, but you will miss what you don't know.
Love this series of teaching lectures. Great addition to Audible.

Victoria McQueen has an uncanny knack for finding things: a misplaced bracelet, a missing photograph, answers to unanswerable questions. When she rides her bicycle over the rickety old covered bridge in the woods near her house, she always emerges in the places she needs to be. Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.

I am not the most detailed person. So i was looking for a book that seemed interesting to use a credit on so i could fullfill the requirements of a 10.00 credit. I looked at the preorder category and thought i was buying a book in the sci fy genre. A girl rides her special bike and finds a bridge that takes her to find lost things."How interesting" I thought.
This book is so much more. It is not for everyone, however it is so well done, it will be read by many genre jumpers. This book will not leave me for some time and Charlie will always be with me.
The narration is top notch. Charlie is introduced early in the book and from that moment on I couldn't look away. I have recommended it to everyone.
I told a friend "It was Stephen Kingish. He told me two days later that Joe Hill was Steven Kings son.
Last But not least, when the narration of the story ends, don't stop listening. Joe Hill go's on to talk. There is a cute little story about how he would have liked to be a childrens author.

I hope you enjoy your trip with Charlie to Christmas land where every day is like Christmas morning, and every night like Christmas Eve.

In this epic, beautifully written masterwork, Pulitzer Prize–winning author Isabel Wilkerson chronicles one of the great untold stories of American history: the decades-long migration of black citizens who fled the South for northern and western cities in search of a better life. From 1915 to 1970, this exodus of almost six million people changed the face of America. Wilkerson interviewed more than a thousand people, and gained access to previously untapped data and official records, to write this definitive and vividly dramatic account of how these American journeys unfolded, altering our cities, our country, and ourselves.

I was born in mid 1960's and grew up in desegregated florida. This book revealed facts about america that I would have never known otherwise. I grew up 50 miles south of Mims and race was rarely discussed, however it was always present. Knowledge and perspectives from both sides of racism are important if we are to ever completely eliminate hatred based solely on skin color. Perhaps that is too utopian a dream and may very well be the message that we gleam from the author. The characters sought a land void of racism, what they found was something different. Please do not miss this one.

Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, listeners have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over 40 million copies in over 32 languages. When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork.

Hundreds of books have been written about the financial crisis that engulfed the world after Lehman Brothers went bankrupt. But what if the bigger financial crisis is ahead of us, not behind us?As John Mauldin and Jonathan Tepper deftly illustrate in this controversial audio book, the crisis was more than a half-century in the making. The Great Financial Crisis, however, was merely Act I.
