"Wanted: New Narrator."
I have read other reviews that warned of bad narration and had avoided that fate until now. The narrator sounded like he was whispering. It was so hard to finish the book.
The storyline was interesting.
Find a new narrator.
"Makes you think"
This is classic Mosely after his dectective genre. Mosely is the type of author that makes one think and deals with real issues in an interesting way. This book deals with the ideas of slavery, heritage, right versus wrong, and some other issues. It held my attention but I probably would have liked the print format better. No a bad listen because the narrator is excellent, just have to pay attention.
"Can't wait for what comes next"
A great continuation of this series. I hope there is more to come. The main character is well developed and creates such a conflict of emotions within the reader/listener. The story is interesting and suspensful. This one hints that there is more to come and I hope that is true.
"Suspenseful. Never really know for sure."
This is one that keeps you guessing and while clues point in one direction, you never really know for sure about Jacob. The narrator is good and the plot is interesting from start to finish. This is one I will listen to again.
"Better than the movie"
Great narrator and great story. I am always grateful when a movie sticks closely to the plot of the book. Much of the storyline is the same; however, there are some interesting differences and a little more insight into Agent Starling.
"Sympathy for a psychopath"
Suspenseful, Entertaining, Riveting
No one moment stands out. The entire book held my attention from beginning to end! Can't wait for more.
"No rage while listening to this one"
Samuel L. Jackson is superb as the narrator. I laughed from start to finish. He is convincing in every role and makes each character come alive. This is one I will listen to again and again.
