Imagine it were possible to bring the characters from a book to life. Not like when you listen to an audiobook with such enchantment that the characters seem to jump off the pages and into your bedroom...but for real. Imagine they could actually climb out of the pages and into our world. Then imagine if those characters brought their world into ours.

What did you like best about this story?

Very ingenious and believable. Although it is a children story it keeps the interest up all the time. Well written and intelligent.

    Any additional comments?

Looking forward to reading the sequels.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would certainly recommend this book. Sometimes it becomes a bit repetitive, but the insistence in drilling the rules is wise.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unstuff Your Life?

The chapter about filing documents, that is my everlasting nightmare.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    From chaos to peace.

A smart and funny book by a prominent Harvard psychologist, which uses groundbreaking research and (often hilarious) anecdotes to show us why we're so lousy at predicting what will make us happy, and what we can do about it.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not really, the information is interesting but it doesn't lead to many conclusions.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The problem is that 90% of the information is about what does not work, what make our mind a misleading tool, what won't work....but nothing about what does work.

How could the performance have been better?

He read too fast, you don't really have time to absorb the information.

Was Stumbling on Happiness worth the listening time?

    Not for me

Lisey Debusher Landon lost her husband, Scott, two years ago, after a 25-year marriage of the most profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. Scott was an award-winning, best-selling novelist, and a very complicated man. Early in their relationship, before they married, Lisey had to learn from him about books and blood and "bools". Later, she understood that there was a place Scott went, a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive, or give him the ideas he needed in order to live.

If you could sum up Lisey's Story in three words, what would they be?

I started listening to it 3 times, I had to concentrate a lot to understand what was going on (english is not my first language). But in a long journey I persisted and then I got hooked. It is Stephen King at it's best: profound, artfully constructed, disturbing, loving...

And the narrator is so good. She makes a wonderful performance. This book is not easy to read, let me assure you...but she makes a work of art of it.

All in all....a wonderful, amazing experience. I couldn't close my mouth from amazement while I was driving and listening to such a beautiful story.

Described as one of the best-known life coaches in America, in media such as Psychology Today, O columnist Martha Beck has demonstrated a rare gift for helping people who have gone off course to find their way back to authentic, rewarding lives. Now, in Steering by Starlight, Dr. Beck describes the step-by-step process she uses with her private clients to help them find their way back to their "homing instincts" - their true destinies.

If you could sum up Steering by Starlight in three words, what would they be?

    Exact to the point.

Have you listened to any of Martha Beck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I am a big fan of Martha Beck. This book is a more evolved work from the original Find your Northstar. She is very pragmatical on her approach to real life struggle, she is very well articulated and researched and always uplifting without promising fairy tales. I am a life coach myself and always feel very inspired by her work.

It's been years since the members of the Sisterhood first banded together, with the help of their mentor Charles Martin, to exact their own form of justice on those whose crimes had gone unpunished by the legal system. Now, back in the United States after an enforced exile, and ensconced in a new home on Big Pine Mountain in North Carolina, Myra, Kathryn, Annie, Alexis, Isabelle, Yoko, and Nikki are breathing easy at last - but not for long.

Would you ever listen to anything by Fern Michaels again?

This was my first book by Fern Michaels and I am not tempted to read any other. The book starts interestingly enough but it soon becomes absurd, there is no real storyline, no thrill or mystery, no depth. No character is strongly constructed and the end is soooo absurd and simplistic!!!A true disappointment.
