  • The Best of Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine: Joe Haldeman and Others

    • HIGHLIGHTS (8 hrs and 10 mins)
    • By Joe Haldeman, John Morressy, Gene Wolfe, and others
    • Narrated By Harlan Ellison, Cynthia Belliveau, Jeff Paul

This audio presentation of the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction is a super-duper triple issue, comprising ten key selections (most of the contents, actually) of FSF's September issue and the forthcoming double October/November issue.

Robert Fisher says: "A bountiful selection of scifi and fantasy."
    "I like short stories"

I don't understand why Audible doesn't put out the monthly version of F&SFas an audible book. I would buy it.

  • The Worst of Bogosian, Volume One

    • ORIGINAL (1 hr)
    • By Eric Bogosian
    • Narrated By Eric Bogosian

Meet Eric Bogosian's unforgettable characters - the stud, the drug dealer, the money-hungry guru, and the molecule-spewing derelict on the train. Bogosian performed these solos as well as some of his other favorite riffs from his OBIE-award winning shows, Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll, Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee live at the Bowery Poetry Club in NYC on July 28, 2003. The Worst of Bogosian, Volume One is available only from Audible.

Frank says: "This guy is a genius."
    "This guy is a genius."

And this audio captures pretty well what it was like to see him perform live.

  • Path of Daggers: Book Eight of The Wheel of Time

The Seanchan invasion force is in possession of Ebou Dar. Nynaeve, Elayne, and Aviendha head for Caemlyn and Elayne's rightful throne, but on the way they discover an enemy much worse than the Seanchan. In Illian, Rand vows to throw the Seanchan back as he did once before. But signs of madness are appearing among the Asha'man.

Paul says: "the best of the best"
"Trying to get through the series"

I loved this series initially - but now i don't know. It's starting to feel the same book after book. Maybe I just need to take a break and come back to it.

  • Arthur: Books 1-2

    • UNABRIDGED (1 hr and 7 mins)
    • By Marc Brown
    • Narrated By Mark Linn-Baker

In Arthur's Mystery Envelope, it looks like trouble when the principal asks Arthur to take home a large envelope marked CONFIDENTIAL. In Arthur and the Scare-Your-Pants-Off Club, Arthur and his pals can't wait for the next book in the Scare-Your-Pants-Off series, only to find out when the book arrives at the library that the series has been banned!

Suzanne says: "Plain pasta for the brain"
"Say Hello To Arthur He's Really Glad To Meet You"

These are really great. We had them in the car and listened to them about 1,000 times without going insane.

Different than the PBS cartoon - but better.

  • Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 53 mins)

Michael says: "Not as good as A Whole New Mind"
    "I learned alot"

I learned allot about my self from listening to the this book. I also leaned how to deal with other people better.

  • World Without End

    • UNABRIDGED (45 hrs and 40 mins)
    • By Ken Follett
    • Narrated By John Lee

In 1989 Ken Follett astonished the literary world with The Pillars of the Earth, set in 12th-century England. Readers and listeners ever since have hoped for a sequel. At last, here it is. Although the two novels may be listened to in any order, World Without End also takes place in Kingsbridge, two centuries after the townspeople finished building their exquisite Gothic cathedral. The cathedral is again at the center of a web of love and hate, greed and pride, ambition and revenge.

Laura says: "Repetitive, but still enjoyable"
"Is this the one that Oprah liked?"

I usually hate to read a book that the rest of the world is reading but I started this on a paperback and actually switched back and forth between the book and the audio depending on my mood. It's a great book - but not my favorite.
