Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, anyone with Kids 8 to 13 would enjoy this story and as an adult I could listen as well and enjoy the charaters.

What does Jim Dale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I can think of no other voice, his intonation and speech pattern is perfect for the material

    Any additional comments?

This was a great conclusion to the series, I wish there were more.

The year is 1902 - it's been 23 years since Peter and the Lost Boys returned from Rundoon. Since then, nobody on the island has grown a day older, and the Lost Boys continue their friendship with the Mollusk tribe and their rivalry with Captain Hook. Meanwhile, in London, Molly has married George Darling and is raising three children: Wendy, Michael, and John. One night, a visitor appears at her door; it's James, one of Peter's original Lost Boys.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was ok but the other 3 books were so good and the plotting so good. This one felt forced and it doesn't work with the Disney Peter Pan like the others do. My daughter did not like as well. Exciting but ruined the idea of how Peter became Peter by messing with Wendy and it not falling in line with the movie were the other books explained why things were a certain way in the movie.

What could Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Not messed up Wendy

What does Jim Dale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is great but even he seemed to lose something in trying to make it work.

    Any additional comments?

I would love more books but they would have to take place after the Disney movie in the time line. My daughter was not fooled and was disappointed that this one did not stay true. Wendy didn't know about the magic in the movie and in this book she did.

Peter leaves the relative safety of Mollusk Island - along with his trusted companion, Tinker Bell - for the cold, damp, dangerous streets of London. On a difficult journey across the sea, he and Tink discover the dark and deadly slithering part-man/part-creature Lord Ombra, who is intent on recovering the missing starstuff.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hard choice between Molly's Dad and Peter

    Any additional comments?

We got this after listening to the first Star Catcher's book. It was just as great as the first and answered even more questions about Peter, the island and the pirates.

Would you listen to Peter and the Starcatchers again? Why?

Yes, it was a fun adventure my daughter and I could listen to together. It flows with the original Disney Peter Pan

Have you listened to any of Jim Dale’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Great as always, the perfect voice.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    How Peter becomes Peter

    Any additional comments?

Worth the sale price for sure.

Eleven-year-old amateur detective and ardent chemist Flavia de Luce is used to digging up clues, whether they’re found among the potions in her laboratory or between the pages of her insufferable sisters’ diaries. What she is not accustomed to is digging up bodies. Upon the 500th anniversary of St. Tancred’s death, the English hamlet of Bishop’s Lacey is busily preparing to open its patron saint’s tomb. Nobody is more excited to peek inside the crypt than Flavia, yet what she finds will halt the proceedings dead in their tracks: the body of Mr. Collicutt, the church organist, his face grotesquely and inexplicably masked.

Donald says: "the best Flavia yet!!"

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, she is fun and the twists are great. My 13 year old loves this series too.

Have you listened to any of Jayne Entwistle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Some of her others are slightly better, but this one is very good. I can't image the little girl with anyone else's voice and she captures her mischievousness very well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the very end! I can't wait for the next one.

    Any additional comments?

I love the science that is added to this series. Not too much but fun. My 13 year old daughter loves it and likes how a girl can be smart but not at the expense of others.

In a way it felt like a classic of this type of mystery.

When a massive earthquake devastates Japan in 1703, even the shogun's carefully regulated court is left teetering on the brink of chaos. This is no time for a murder investigation - except when a nobleman's daughters are found dead from incense poisoning and their father threatens to topple the regime unless Sano Ichiro tracks down the killer.

What about Bernadette Dunne’s performance did you like?

I like her -- she fits for this series.

    Any additional comments?

This book is good but not a stand out in the series. It is contrived that he must start all over again. I like the series very much it just seems too caught up in the back story now and not enough about the mysteries themselves.
