This book was good, but not as good as I thought it would be. Emma Galvin is amazing, though. I love her narration.
This story could have been done well, but instead, it was very disappointing. The main character is ridiculous. She has a Ph.D., and yet says idiotic things like, "Well, I'm not known for my common sense." Okay, I suppose it's possible for someone who's intelligent to lack common sense, but come on. A woman that smart acting so completely stupid? It's ridiculous. She's intelligent and self-reliant until she meets her vampire boyfriend, then she becomes a complete moron.
While the audio version of this book is fantastic, it was a little difficult to follow all of the moving parts of the complex story.
This story is unique, original, and captivating. I was hooked from the very first scene.
