This book was one of the best historical romances I have listened to in quite a while. Anne Flosnik is my very favorite reader, I would probably listen to her grocery list. I really wish the audiobooks would have been released in order. The characters are so intertwined, it's a shame the last book was released first.
The plot never quite developed and what wrap up came very rushed at the end. I love Anne Flosnik, but even her narration couldn't save the story.
Great book, wonderful narrator! Well worth a credit. Eloisa James is a automatic buy for me and this story did not disappoint.
One of the best stories in the series. Couldn't stop listening. More than worth a credit. Performance exceptional as usual.
I love Jane Feather's books but take my advice read this one. I wanted to listen to this series but the narration is so poor it's painful. I could not tell who was speaking, the male and female voices were the same, at times it became confusing, so I just stopped. Audible should take more care when committing an entire series to a bad narrator.
The story was interesting, the narrator wonderful, (I love Susan). It kept me listening, wanting more. I love Julie Garwood historical novels.
I was not impressed with previous Robyn Carr historical romance books, but I took a chance on this one and I was not disappointed. The narrator was perfect, the story moves quickly and the romance had just enough heat.
If you like historical romance you will enjoy this one it's a easy read.
I love Elizabeth Hoyt books and have most of them in audio so I can't understand why a publisher/producer would take a series and go with an inexperience narrator. When will they understand that an experienced narrator makes the difference in whether a book is tolerable or great.
This narrator has a child-like voice and I could not tell who was speaking. I got through 7 chapters and had to shut it off. I so wanted to listen to all the Prince series but I will go with the written word. Rosalyn Landor, Anne Flosnik, Kate Reading or any of the experienced narrators would have done this justice.
Don't waste your credit.
I wish they had all or Lorraine Heath books. The performance is excellent, but I love Anne Flosnik.
This is the first in a series, but all the books are stand-a-lone. This is not the best in the series but a good listen. The narrator is excellent. But for my recommendation read the other two first, you won't be sorry.
I love this series, and enjoyed the fact that all the characters stayed connected throughout the series. What made this audiobook most enjoyable was the narrator, she did a outstanding job
