"A Wonderful Source of Knowledge..."
I was totally engrossed. It is a truly wonderful book. It is filled with information that makes sense. It took me to a higher level of understanding, and in some instances, confirmed my inner most beliefs. I would definitly recommend this to anyone that is familiar with Dr. Chopra's works. For those that are not familiar, this is a brillant introduction.
"Should have been named: My Mammies"
I found this distasteful. The old south and the way Black women supposedly adored the "White chilluns" was rehashed in this book. Not something that interest me, a Black woman.
"A Wonderful Source of Hope"
I found this to be a wonderful source of inspiration for me, a 61 years old woman, who was trying to accept that I was too old to attempt anything new in life, although I did not feel that way deep within. It was basically trying to accept what society places upon older people. I no longer feel that way.
I now know I no longer have to think "too old", and I cannot blame anyone for these thoughts if they continue.
I am thankful for this encounter.
