Wow, just blew right through the 3rd anf final book of the trilogy. I really, really enjoyed this series. This one ranked right up there with the first one. Even thugh set in Amish country and with a good portion about the Amish, it's more a story of human nature, right versus wrong. I'm sorry to have the story of Hannah and Paul end. I guess I'm going to have to give the author another try at some point and see if she can match the magic of the Sisters of the Quilt:)

I really enjoy James Lee Burke, he has become one of my faborite authors. And, Will Patton is a great narrator. Burke has good insight into human nature and comes up with some colorful characters. He brings history into his stories and weaves a great tale. Most of his books have been about Detective Dave Robicheaux and they are great set both in Louisiana and Montane. Now, with Sheriff Hackberry Holland he writes about SW Texas along the border where the good buys and bad guys are going both ways across the border.

If you like international thrillers based on historical mysteries then you'll like this book.

Yes, this Scottolini thriller had plenty of twists and turns and it was an enjoyable listen. If anything I'd like it to have been longer, more character development. But, it's interesting listening to books from a female perspective, it's good having them be strong. I was sad to realize the final twist in this one was true. It must be fun being an author deciding what to do with your characters. I hope Lisa's students appreciate her!
