Incredible sequel. Big fan of the genre...bigger fan of Maberry books (Joe Ledger)...biggest fan of this series.
Author does a tremendous job of creating an interesting yet almost believable alternate universe. Characters and world were extremely fun.
The Scalzi/Wheaton combination is a can't miss. I'm not sure I could have enjoyed this anymore than I did. Only gripe is I wish this had been longer because I didn't want it to end.
I've listened to 15 plus zombie books and Rot and Ruin is the best of the genre. It's not just another story where some person goes from place to place trying to survive (don't get me wrong, I love a good apocalyptic book). Unlike every other series, you actually care about the characters. Hutchinson's narration is incredible again.
P.S. This is also my 9th Maberry book and I love them all. Joe Ledger series, Pine Deep and Rot and Ruin. Check them all out.
Definitely in my top 10. Great detective story. Any dog lover will absolutely love this book.
Really creative story. First 5 hrs were great. Last 2 hrs a bit slow.
