"If you like glamourous chick-lit, you'll like this"
Glam, Ridiculous, Funny
the three different women kept the story interesting.
Audriana, in terms of performance. Charlotte's Brazilian accent is amazing.
Not as good as the Devil Wears Prada, but I did like this and I really liked the voices Charlotte Parry does. I'm a narration snob, so that's a lot coming from me.
"I knew I liked her..."
Pretty well...I think its clear she doesn't narrate for a living, but what do you expect? I do really like the book, still.
yes.
She's really funny and proposes hilarious questions that I sympathized with. All in all, definitely worth it!
"LOVE!"
Yes. For several reasons. Firstly, I love this type of chick lit. I am driving at least 3 hours daily, so I love good escapism chick lit, especially the glitz and glam ones. Anything with designer names and NYC in it, I'll buy. Also, I am an assistant and used to have a similar job to Andrea, so I totally related to this.
Her voice and inflection is fantastic!
I seriously loved this book. I don't often relisten to books, but I definitely will with this one. I'm big on good narration and think Bernadette Dunne is the best!
"Am I the only one who CANNOT STAND the narrator?"
Maybe reading it, but I am never listening to this woman again.
Bernadette Dunne.
I took a shot on this book based on all the comments and the rave reviews of the narration, which I'm really picky with. I couldn't pre-listen to a sample, so I went with it as it's so well-reviewed, but I am really wishing I had saved a credit on this. Her voice is so clinical and old, the voices she does of kids are great, but her general narration detracts from the actual story. FYI- I love the narration of Bernadette Dunne and Rosalyn Landor, so if you do too, and narration is a big deal to you- AVOID this!
