This story would have been ok if it weren't for the heroine, Indira. She made the story totally unbearable for me. A few times her comments made me laugh, but for the most part I just wanted to smack her. To me she was just too bitchy and self absorbed.
This was an ok listen, but I wouldn’t purchase the next book. The narrator is so annoying. I listened to this while I was working, and sometimes her voice seem to drag the words out so slow, "Dooogg, instead of dog, and GraanndMaaa instead of Grandma," which just made me tired.
I agree with Lorna, the story was good but the narration took a lot away from it. There were a lot of mistakes, a few times they had me checking to see if there was a problem with my iPod. I liked the characters, Loved the chemistry between Sam and Rebba. I liked Stan, Kevin and Dana. Callie got on my nerves though. The story was funny and cute. A great listen while wrapping gifts.
I thought this story was pretty good, but when I first started listing, I had to pause and check my iPod to be sure I was at the beginning. The way the story began made me think that had started with part 2, instead of 1, but it seemed to work. Lizzie and Dimitri could have been fleshed out a little more, I didn’t really see the attraction between them, there was no real chemistry. Grandma was a hoot, and Lizzie’s dog was cute. I did not like the narration. I thought the reader was much more mature then Lizzie was supposed to be, and it didn’t work for me, and her voice was a bit annoying.
I agree with Jan from Omaha. I love Suzanne Brockmann’s books, but I wasn’t too crazy about this one. I did not like Melody at all. She was so annoying that at times I just wanted to smack her.
Didn’t care for the narration of this one book. I found the voice that he used, while reading Miranda’s parts, extremely annoying. I eventually gave up listening halfway through the book. Wasn’t too crazy about the idea that Miranda was considering engagement to someone else and thought that it was okay to sleep with Cody either. I'm sure the book got better by the end, never made it that far.
