I'm totally addicted to audio-books. I listen all day while at work, (lucky enough to have that sort of job), and working around the house.

A lapsed Wiccan, Indira Simon doesn't believe in magic anymore. But when strange dreams of being sacrificed to an ancient Babylonian god have her waking up with real rope burns on her wrists, she's forced to acknowledge that she may have been too hasty in her rejection of the unknown. Then she meets mysterious and handsome Father Thomas.

This story would have been ok if it weren't for the heroine, Indira. She made the story totally unbearable for me. A few times her comments made me laugh, but for the most part I just wanted to smack her. To me she was just too bitchy and self absorbed.

Book two in Fox's New York Times best-selling Demon Slayer series. Accidental demon slayer Lizzie Brown and her grandma’s coven of biker witches have rolled into Sin City to take out a super-sexy succubus who has her eye on world domination—and worse, Lizzie’s man.

    Story

This was an ok listen, but I wouldn’t purchase the next book. The narrator is so annoying. I listened to this while I was working, and sometimes her voice seem to drag the words out so slow, "Dooogg, instead of dog, and GraanndMaaa instead of Grandma," which just made me tired.

    Story

I agree with Lorna, the story was good but the narration took a lot away from it. There were a lot of mistakes, a few times they had me checking to see if there was a problem with my iPod. I liked the characters, Loved the chemistry between Sam and Rebba. I liked Stan, Kevin and Dana. Callie got on my nerves though. The story was funny and cute. A great listen while wrapping gifts.

It’s never a good day when an ancient demon shows up on your toilet. For Lizzie Brown, that’s just the beginning. Soon her hyperactive terrier starts talking, and her long-lost biker-witch Grandma is hurling Smuckers jars filled with magic. Just when she thinks she’s seen it all, Lizzie learns she’s a demon slayer—and all hell is after her. Of course, that’s not the only thing after her....

    Story

I thought this story was pretty good, but when I first started listing, I had to pause and check my iPod to be sure I was at the beginning. The way the story began made me think that had started with part 2, instead of 1, but it seemed to work. Lizzie and Dimitri could have been fleshed out a little more, I didn’t really see the attraction between them, there was no real chemistry. Grandma was a hoot, and Lizzie’s dog was cute. I did not like the narration. I thought the reader was much more mature then Lizzie was supposed to be, and it didn’t work for me, and her voice was a bit annoying.

All her life Melody Evans has wanted to marry a plain, average man who doesn’t take risks. But when the foreign embassy is taken over by terrorists and she’s rescued by a daring Navy SEAL, Melody blames the extreme circumstances for their ensuing passion. When it comes to ordinary, Harlan “Cowboy” Jones is anything but, and their encounter leaves Melody with a little more than just memories.

DB says: "Great Narrator, Loved the story"
    "Like the store line, but..."
    Overall

I agree with Jan from Omaha. I love Suzanne Brockmann’s books, but I wasn’t too crazy about this one. I did not like Melody at all. She was so annoying that at times I just wanted to smack her.

Champion bull rider Cody Braddock has always loved the ladies. As a vampire, each time he brings a woman satisfaction, his strength grows! But right now he's thinking only about vengeance. His mission: to hunt down and destroy the one who murdered his beloved family. Revenge, however, takes a detour when he meets sweet, passionate Miranda Rivers. She's never experienced the big O, and she wants to - badly! How could any man - vamp or not - resist?

Daniel S. Palter says: "Sensual Cowboy Vamp - wrong narrator for this book"
    "Annoying narration"
    Overall

Didn’t care for the narration of this one book. I found the voice that he used, while reading Miranda’s parts, extremely annoying. I eventually gave up listening halfway through the book. Wasn’t too crazy about the idea that Miranda was considering engagement to someone else and thought that it was okay to sleep with Cody either. I'm sure the book got better by the end, never made it that far.
