  • Step by Step to Stand-Up Comedy

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 16 mins)
    • By Greg Dean
    • Narrated By Greg Dean

Step by Step to Stand-Up Comedy, written by Greg Dean, is a comprehensive guide for people who are funny, want to be funnier, or have dreams of being a stand-up comedian. This first-of-its-kind audiobook demystifies the craft of comedy by breaking it down to the fundamental skills used by professional funny people. Dean lays out these skills in simple-to-understand lessons that are easy to practice and master.

Scott says: "Solid Advice, Horrendous Delivery. Read it instead"
"A must for those interested in becoming a comedian"

Greg covers a multitude of topics from writing to rehearsal and performance. If you are interested in doing comedy for a living this book has a tons of tips and advice on things you haven't even considered. I was skeptical at first but in the end I enjoyed this book very much and I learned quite a bit about the whole process from concept to live performance. I can honestly say I have a far greater understanding of the entire process now than I ever did before. Greg’s narration is clear, concise, and entertaining.

  • The Salmon of Doubt: Hitchhiking the Galaxy One Last Time

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Douglas Adams
    • Narrated By Simon Jones, Christopher Cerf, Richard Dawkins, and others

Rescued from his beloved Macintosh, The Salmon of Doubt provides us with the opportunity to linger and frolic one last time in the uniquely entertaining and richly informative mind of Douglas Adams. For the millions of readers who expressed their grief and shock at his untimely death, this is a treasure; his final book and our last chance to see new work from an acknowledged comic genius.

Ambrose A. Dunn-meynell says: "enjoyable but not well described"
"As close to meeting him as it gets"
What made the experience of listening to The Salmon of Doubt the most enjoyable?

All of this stuff was collected by his wife and closest friends off his hard drive and lovingly put together into one final book including the first few chapters of a Dirk Gently book.

If you are a fan of his books The Salmon Of Doubt Lets you meet him in person and get to know him in an amazingly amusing way. What an amazing life and a great loss. I will always wonder where that last novel would have taken me however after reading this I kinda like it that way. I think it was his way of getting the last laugh by making us all think about his unfinished last story and smile from time to time.

  • The Dark Tower: The Dark Tower VII

    • UNABRIDGED (28 hrs and 10 mins)
    • By Stephen King
    • Narrated By George Guidall
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

All good things must come to an end, Constant Listener, and not even Stephen King can write a story that goes on forever. The tale of Roland Deschain's relentless quest for the Dark Tower has, the author fears, sorely tried the patience of those who have followed it from its earliest chapters. But attend to it a while longer, if it pleases you, for this volume is the last, and often the last things are best.

Chris says: "If you've come this far, you may as well finish"
    "Well done!!!"

There are many who have a problem with the ending so if you want a happy ending stop when he tells you to. The ending is fitting also keep in mind there will be another book King is planning on starting it in September. The biggest thing for me was saying goodbye to the wonderful rich characters. After listening to seven books on the road I laughed I cried and I felt like these were my friends, which is the whole point of phenomenal writing. All I can say is thank you Stephen King for a wonderful journey and a story that I will share with my children when the time is right. Long days and pleasant nights to you all.
