Letting Go describes a simple and effective means by which to let go of the obstacles to enlightenment and become free of negativity. During the many decades of the author's clinical psychiatric practice, the primary aim was to seek the most effective ways to relieve human suffering in all of its many forms. The inner mechanism of surrender was found to be of great practical benefit and is described in this book.

This book has great detail and is well written. I it might be better to buy the text. I also believe this might be too much information and can confuse newbies and the experienced. My favorite quote from the book is: “It’s far better to surrender all hopes and expectations, just practice from a place of trust for the sake of whatever your meditation will bring.”

One person talks; the other listens. It's so basic that we take it for granted. Unfortunately, most of us think of ourselves as better listeners than we actually are. Why do we so often fail to connect when speaking with family members, romantic partners, colleagues, or friends? How do emotional reactions get in the way of real communication? This thoughtful, witty, and empathic book has already helped over 100,000 people break through conflicts and transform their personal and professional relationships.

“The urge to be heard is so compelling.” I recommend this book to everyone. I love the narrator, the stories and the lessons. Michael, thank you for this wonderful manual. Below are some of my favorites notes:

Better listening improves personal and professional relationships and life overall.

Responsive listening takes practice like any new habit.

“Why does everything have to be so artificial” this comment is true. True listening isn’t natural it’s a skill. It can be looked as a performance or it can be seen as a caring and concern for people. Caring is something you feel.

Empathic listening promotes growth and enhances our own being.

Joe Dispenza, DC, has spent decades studying the human mind-how it works, how it stores information, and why it perpetuates the same behavioral patterns over and over. In the acclaimed film What the Bleep Do We Know!?, he began to explain how the brain evolves - by learning new skills, developing the ability to concentrate in the midst of chaos, and even healing the body and the psyche. Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind.
