I am an avid recorded book listener. I work at at elementary school, have 2 high schoolers and have very little time to sit and read. This is a great book fix for the perpetual motion in our lives we live these days.

Ellory nailed the story, text and diction of this book. The narrator (who was wonderful) had his work handed to him on a silver platter. I have not enjoyed the cadence of a book more. I only wish I spoke in such perfect english.

Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

Have been a fan of Lisa Gardner for some time. This book offers a great story and the narration is spot on. The building of complete, flawed, sad,and successful characters and families can be tricky, but not for Gardner. Good verses evil but only partially predictable ending. Twists until the very end.

Loved the story, love the narrator and love the authors. What were they thinking when changing narrators in a series. I felt I was reading about all new characters. Not as enjoyable as I was straining to reconnect to history.

A spine-chilling new thriller that pits renowned criminalist Lincoln Rhyme against the ultimate opponent - Amelia Sachs, his own brilliant protege. A quadriplegic since a beam crushed his spinal cord years ago, Rhyme is desperate to improve his condition and goes to North Carolina for high-risk experimental surgery. In a twenty-four hour period, the sleepy Southern outpost of Tanner's Corner has seen a local teen murdered and two young women abducted. And Ryhme and Sachs are the best chance to find the girls alive.

    Story

I liked the story and I am sure the narrator is fine on his own. My problem with this book is I have followed Lincoln Rhymes through many sagas with the same narrator. Changing narrators at this point in a series makes the characters seem new. My images formed from past novels did not match this one. I found it difficult to feel the connections I previously had with the characters because of the new narrator.

From the author of The Power of One comes an inspiring human drama of three lives brought together and changed forever by the extraordinary events of recent history. Inspired by real events, Bryce Courtenay's new novel tells the story of three people from vastly differing backgrounds. All they have in common is a tough beginning in life.

The characters, settings and emotions of this book are expertly built and told. I credit this audiobook as much to the author as the narrator. The characters are flawed, likable, human and so very real. The ability of Bower to cover such a vast array of characters and vernaculars is amazing. This book has jumped to one of my all time favorites ranking up there with Follett's Pillar of the Earth.

Patrick Davis is a man with troubles. First his Hollywood dreams crumble, then his storybook marriage hits a snag. Finally, DVDs start being delivered to his house – DVDs which show that someone is watching him and his wife, that the two of them are being stalked and recorded by cameras hidden around and within their house. Then the e-mails start, and someone offers to fix everything, to take the mess his life has become and make it all right. Patrick figures it's the offer of a lifetime.
