Molly Jennings has one naughty secret: her job as an erotic fiction author. Until her inspiration runs dry. One look at former high school hunk chief of police Ben Lawson and Molly is back in business. The town gossip is buzzing at her door and, worse still, a stalker seems to be watching her every move. Thankfully, her very own lawman has taken to coming over, often. The only problem now is that Molly may have to let the cat out of the bag about her chosen profession - and straitlaced Ben will definitely not approve.

Let me just say, I listened to this while I was shopping in walmart, and got some very odd looks as I laughed out loud.

This was funny and hot, and I really liked the narrator.

Media consultant Veronica St. John has been hired to teach a rugged Navy SEAL to impersonate a European prince who's been targeted by terrorists. But one conversation and Veronica knows there's no way she can turn streetwise New Yorker Joe Catalanotto into nobility. Joe, on the other hand, is confident he's got what it takes. Two days isn't a lot of time to get the job done...but it's enough time to fall in love.

I don't really like it. Lots of internal dialog about what the two main characters think about each other, and not much else. Well, that's how it's been for a little over 4 hours of it. I'm starting to get annoyed with it. Hopefully things will get better.

"I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds. Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked."

Ok, so I had a few issues with this book. The first was the narrator. The way she speaks make everything sound snotty and kinda uppity. The writing was good, but sometimes I had to stop and rewind because the author liked to throw a lot of explanations in the middle of a conversation. I would forget what the last character said, and would have to go back. Maybe it was my fault, since I listen to books while working, but I've never had this much of a problem before. I do agree that the main character is really immature for her age. At one point she is dumb founded that her father wanted to teach her responsibility. She just can't seem to believe it. Really? Personally, I wouldn't leave the main character in charge of my rock collection. Probably won't go for the second book in the series.

The Maryland town her father built has too many sad memories and Abby too few spare moments, thanks to her demanding Wall Street career, the crumbling of her marriage, and her energetic twin daughters. Then one panicked phone call from her youngest sister brings her racing back home to protect Jess’s dream of renovating the charming Inn at Eagle Point....

I liked this. It was a sweet love story. The ex-husband was really lame. The narrator was okay, sometimes a little to robotic I guess, but all in all I liked it.

    Overall

I liked this series, it was good. Well, some of it was good.

The author needed to find a different word for ruthless though. It was said a lot, throughout the entire series. After a while it got a little annoying. There were a couple of other words that the author couldn't seem to let go of, but I can't really think of what they are right now.

There was a lot of talk in the first books about how they needed to do something about Garth, but none of the lead women ever really did anything.

I liked this book the best out of all 4. Garth was my favorite male, and his was relationship with Dana was cute.

So, I listened to this while working, as I do most of my audio books, and got teary eyed from all the bad stuff that went down. Not the best thing while working. I can honestly say the ending didn't give me the warm and fuzzies.

Not a fan of the narrator at all. She sounds like a robot, except when she is speaking the dialog. It made listening very hard. The dialog for the male lead is done in this raspy voice that makes you want to offer the narrator a bottle of water. I honestly will avoid books with her as narrator in the future. Besides that, that book was okay. The author is very...descriptive. (Now say all of this in a slow robotic voice.)

Dominic, of the Dragonseeker lineage - one of the most powerful of the Carpathian lines - is desperate to go to the very heart of the enemy camp and learn their plans. There’s only one way to do so: ingest the parasitic blood of a vampire. Solange Sangria is one of the last of the jaguar people, a royal pureblood, a dying species that cannot recover from bad decisions made over hundreds of years. Now, at the end of their time, they find each other - an obstacle neither saw coming, and which neither can hope to ignore.

I'm only in chapter 6, and I am not that impressed. The woman is so annoying with all the insecurities, and the long incessant complaining about how she's not good enough and blah, blah, blah. Then there were the maggots and the great detail for the decay...This just isn't my kind of book I guess. I'll keep listening, but I just don't want to.
