Country bred Lucy Craddock-Hayes is content with her quiet life, until the day she trips over an unconscious man - a naked unconscious man - and loses her innocence forever. Viscount Simon Iddesleigh was nearly beaten to death by his enemies. Now he's hell-bent on vengeance. But as Lucy nurses him back to health, her honesty startles his jaded sensibilities - even as it ignites a desire that threatens to consume them both. Yet as his honor keeps him from ravishing her, his revenge sends his attackers to her door.

Tracy T says: "Another good book by EH.. Not 20 hours long."

Would you listen to The Serpent Prince again? Why?

Story is interesting and narrator is the best of any I've heard before

What does Moira Quirk bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She can make her voice portray many different characters and you always know who's speaking. Her voice is very pleasing to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Just enjoyed

Edward Crawdon, Duke of Hartridge, is being forced by his slightly overbearing but loving mother to spend time with her old friends at their estate in Ireland. He does not know it, but a contract exists between the two families stating that Edward must marry their eldest daughter. On the day of his arrival, Edward meets Lady Rebecca, Caroline's younger sister, under very unusual circumstances. Edward cannot stop thinking about Lady Rebecca, but she is completely unsuited to being a duchess.

Tracey R says: "A very fun and refreshing romance!"
"Nothing really happens in this story."

What disappointed you about An Unlikely Duchess?

Nothing really happens in this story. If ones reads the explanation of the book provided, that's all you need to know.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I always have one but I can't remember the name right now since I just ordered it. Currently listening to "Edge of Eternity" by Ken Follett. His stuff is always good but it takes a long time to wade through it.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Narrator was fine. Just nothing to narrate.

What character would you cut from An Unlikely Duchess?

None of the characters did anything remarkable anyway.

    Any additional comments?

Needed some kind of interesting plot!
