Nicholai Hel, born in the ravages of World War I China to an aristocratic Russian mother and a mysterious German father, raised in the spiritual gardens of a Japanese Go Master, survives the destruction of Hiroshima to emerge as the world's most artful lover and its most accomplished and highly paid assassin. Genius, mystic, master of language and culture, Hel's secret is his determination to attain a rare kind of personal excellence, a state of effortless perfection: shibumi.

David says: "Only a Russian could be this shibumi"

Has to be the most boring book I've heard in a long time. The description makes it sound great but the majority of the book takes place in caves.
Recommend for anyone needing aid in sleeping.

In life she was a high-profile model. In death she is the focus of a media firestorm that's demanding action from Lucas Davenport. One of his own men is a suspect in her murder. But when a series of bizarre, seemingly unrelated slayings rock the city, Davenport suspects a connection that runs deeper than anyone had imagined - one that leads to an ingenious killer more ruthless than anyone had feared....

Would you try another book from John Sandford and/or Richard Ferrone?

I've read all his books, I guess no one is perfect. Richard Ferrone can only read what he's given. I listened to this right after Sudden Prey which was out standing. It was quite a let down.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not sure.

Which character – as performed by Richard Ferrone – was your favorite?

    Dell

What character would you cut from Easy Prey?

All of them from this book.

    Any additional comments?

I'll continue to buy any additional books in the "prey" series. And any others from John Sandford.

What would have made Two Graves better?

    Different authors

Has Two Graves turned you off from other books in this genre?

The first one I read was Still life with crows. I couldn't put it down. The series has gotten sillier with each book after that. What would be wrong with the quirky FBI agent solving crimes like in crows.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

    Read a different book

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Two Graves?

    all of them

One -- Dave Flynn -- knows war, the land, and the nature of his prey. The other is a kid lieutenant named Bowers. But there's a different kind of war happening in Soyopa. And if Flynn and his young associate choose the wrong allies -- and the wrong enemy -- they won't be getting out alive.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It might have been a lot better but the narrator whispered the whole thing. There was no reason to unless that's his style but for me it was a struggle to get through.

Would you be willing to try another one of Josh Clark’s performances?

    no!
