I was disappointed by the narration.
I have listened to other books by this author, but don't remember them having sound effects.
The narration seemed clipped and abrupt . The pace was stacotto (sp)
I could not get past the narration I felt I was listening to an old radio performance
I need to be able to check out the sound before buying and my sample of the book won't download for me . I DO NOT like sound effects in my books.
The Young Holly
No not until the end of the book
He could read the phone book & I'd like it.
Not an extreme reaction, but both sadness and smiles
I would have the narrator speak in a normal voice.
same answer as above
The narration bothered me so much that I couldn't get into the story so I don't have an opinion about a sequel.
Whoever made the decision to have Dick Hill read like he had adnoid problems made a huge mistake in my opinion. I couldn't even understand much of what he said and it made Reacher sound like he was mentally challenged. I did NOT enjoy this book at all and I have liked all of the other Reacher books. I also have enjoyed other narrations by Dick Hill. Very DISAPPOINTED!
I enjoy these books as a light read .I read them inbetween mysteries that require all of my attention. Yes I would recomend this to some of my friends.
I liked everything
She puts emotion into the characters.
This was a book that didn't put pressure to listen in one sitting or break it into several sittings.
Yes I have enjoyed all of the Joe Pickett books, but if they continue with the same storyline as this book I will probably stop reading C J Box.
Nate has been sold out in order to make him fit the mold of sex for the sake of sex you find in most books. He use to have a code he lived up to ,but now he is just like everyone else BORING . I am so disappointed with the direction this story line took.
Just pick a star............they are interchangable....
No I rarely listen to a book more than once.
Kate she is always my favorite character
I liked the narrators voice, but unfortunately she spoke so fast it seemed to me that she just wanted to get it over. I will probably read Dana Stabenow's books from now on rather than listen to Marguerite Gavin.
The speed reading made me nervous.
I liked waiting for the book to come out . I really didn't like the narration.
I would not recommend The Drop .
I think the book needed a different narrator or Len Cariou needs to clear his throat before being a male voice and not try to be a woman's voice.
I have read all of The Harry Bosch books and loved them so I don't know if this was really a let down in the storyline or if I was so put off by the narrator that I couldn't stay interested in what seemed to me to be two separate stories that just didn't mesh well. Really sorry I was set to like this book.
I did not read the book I only listened.
Hard for me to find just one , but at the end with the doctor has stuck with me maybe because it was the end.
I felt like I was there.
I have not been able to get this book out of my mind it haunts me at times and my sorrow far outweighs any laughter. This book is a true representation of the old
I guess I am just surprised at how many mixed emotions I had throughout this book. I have read all of Nevada Barr's books and wasn't prepared for such a slew of emotions her Anna Pigeon books are light reads. Not this one..........
Worth the wait
I found this author late , but I am delighted with her books !
The American Dream
I loved that Harry was a hard worker, didn't let anything stop him and he treated his horses with love and respect. He wasn't in it just for the money and he didn't ask others to do anything that he wouldn't do himself.
I thought he did a good job narrating and he didn't do imitating voices that cause me annoyance and to lose track of the story.
This book brought me warm feelings and was uplifting even though it was real life.
