I believe a story should be interesting enough to absorb me, not bore me. I live reality daily. And many times reality is brutal. So I look for a book that makes me forget. It has to absorb me into the pages. Kind of like going on a mini vacation. I like stories that make me laugh. I like stories that make me look for the next episode.

This book was so convoluted in the opening, I never could figure out who the main character was. Then the pacing of the story was so slow, I never could get into it. This was a wasted credit

Loved the different type of plot. I had read the other two books of this series and just had to find out how it all ended. It didn't disappoint. I couldn't put it down until the last word. The ending was unexpected too. But I liked it and would recommend it.

Gryphons flying past skyscrapers? Wizards battling it out in coffeehouses? Women riding motorcycles with large swords strapped to their backs? All normal sights since the Great Collision happened twenty-six years ago. Well, not normal for everyone. Larissa Miller may have been born after the Great Collision, but as a history teacher who lives in the human-only city, she has never come into contact with any other race or species, nor has she wanted to.

Story's concept was a great departure from the usual. I really liked this. But the story altogether was not so good. It did have a few great parts, but it just didn't flow too well. Toward the end of the book the action jumped so much from chapter to chapter, I kept rewinding to see if I accidentally missed something. Nope, the author just decided to jump ahead to someplace else. The romance was pretty good though.

Soon her suspicions are confirmed when she learns that Christy has the furthest thing from good intentions. She wants Adam back, and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to get him, including turning Adam’s pack against Mercy.

While not going to spoil the book for those who haven't listened, this was kind of a departure from the norm. It was different and pleasant. There are some surprising new characters in the story. Mercy's reactions to them were hilarious. I like this book and wish the next installment wouldn't take so long to come out.

Elena Klovis was supposed to be her kingdom's Cinderella - until an accident of fate left her with a completely inappropriate prince! Determined not to remain with her stepfamily, Elena set out to get a new job - and ended up becoming the Fairy Godmother for the land. But "Breaking with Tradition" was no easy matter. True, she didn't have to sleep in the chimney, but she had to deal with arrogant, stuffed-shirt princes who kept trying to rise above their place in the tale.

Not very good. Failed to carry the story thru in several places. Not a good fantasy book. Not a good romance book. Not a good fairy tale. So what the fairy flip was that? I struggled thru but it was so slow. I was ready to ditch by the 2nd chapter.

I had no ideal I would be lost, if I didn't buy the first book. So I have to get it before I can honestly decide whether this is good or not. The narrator's voice is so squeaky, I'm not sure I can stand it. At first I thought I was listening to a teenage boy whose voice was changing, but no I think that a girl, just a really, really nasal and squeaky voice. This one may be going back . . .

Nick and Allie don't survive the car accident...but their souls don't exactly get where they're supposed to go, either. Instead, they're caught halfway between life and death, in a sort of limbo known as Everlost: a shadow of the living world, filled with all the things and places that no longer exist. It's a magical, yet dangerous place where bands of lost children run wild and anyone who stands in the same place too long sinks to the center of the Earth.

The last one, Jane was so weak and out of the norm, I thought I'd never get another book. I don't listen because Jane is a crybaby, I listen because Jane kicks butt and laughs about it. All the sniveling last book just wasn't the character I'd grown to love. But, I'm glad I did. Jane was more like herself this time. Back to being the femme fatal I like to read about. Hooray!

When a terror from the past threatens Gin’s friend and body-disposer, Sophia, Gin will stop at nothing to protect her, even if it means walking straight into a killer’s trap. Meanwhile, the rocky romance between Gin and Owen reaches a turning point - can they reunite and rekindle their love? Or will the things Gin has been forced to do in her line of work as the deadly assassin the Spider keep them apart forever? Assuming, that is, she survives long enough to find out....

I missed really missed that line Gin says about someone "needed to get dead in a hurry". I don't recall that in this book. But it always makes me laugh in the other ones. The voice actress has the perfect accent for the characters in the book. I know many people who have that accent, so it is very believable. And reminds me of people I know. After seeing how choppy and strange a great audio book series becomes when the author suddenly decides to switches narrators, I'd definitely quit reading this if Lauren Fortgang wasn't reading it anymore. To date I've quit buying two series because I couldn't stand the switch.
