Great detail, great story lines. Can't wait for the next part. Plus I love Gerard Doyle's animation of the characters. His voice is the best ever!
I missed really missed that line Gin says about someone "needed to get dead in a hurry". I don't recall that in this book. But it always makes me laugh in the other ones. The voice actress has the perfect accent for the characters in the book. I know many people who have that accent, so it is very believable. And reminds me of people I know. After seeing how choppy and strange a great audio book series becomes when the author suddenly decides to switches narrators, I'd definitely quit reading this if Lauren Fortgang wasn't reading it anymore. To date I've quit buying two series because I couldn't stand the switch.
Pretty terrific follow-up to the beginning. Some dead time in the middle of the book. By dead time I mean I could tell the author padded the book a bit to drag out the story, but I suffered thru that to see what would happen with the guys. The characters are interesting enough to keep me tuned in. The end was surprising enough to make me rush to buy book 3. Not quite what I thought would happen by the end of the book. Thumbs up for non-predictability.
The beginning started out okay. But the farther I got into the book, the more ridiculous it became. An interesting concept, taken way, way too far. I'm definitely sending this one back. Great narrator, but she couldn't help this book.
Fell apart from the middle to the end. Could have been great, just didn't make it. Don't know what else to say. Save your money.
I would whole heartedly recommend this book. This book has everything I look for to like a book. It has an intriguing storyline, it has really loveable characters, it has an abundeance of action toward a goal, and really great sounding narrator. Who could ask for more? Well I could, I'm so looking forward to the next book. The ending here really shocked me and I have to find out how this goes. Come on Kevin, when's the next book coming out?
Not sure what I expected with this book. I selfishly bought it because Todd Haberkorn is my number one favorite male voice of all time and I wanted to see what he sounded like in the audio book arena. He did not disappoint. I'm fairly stuck on voices and I can pick his out anywhere I hear it. It is that memorable. But this story is also good as well. It shows how easily good intent can be twisted. And how easily religion can be used for evil. The characters fairly developed and likeable. The ending was a surprise too. Didn't see that one coming at all.
I really like Molly Harper's writings. Each book is just hilarious. I get lost within the theme and the characters. Might be the Kentucky thing, but having lived there she has the small town society down pat from hunters to busybodies. Well done.
I'm not getting another one. I knew I shouldn't have gotten this one, but wanted to be wrong. The story just keeps getting weaker and weaker.
This is the third book I've purchased. Still great! Unique perspective and not been done before. I love it. Keep them coming, please. Keep the same narrator too. Okay?
Okay the characters took a turn to crazyville. Not sure I'll get another one. MIght have to trade this one back. It was almost exactly the same as the first one, no real improvement. Save your money.
