"the best of McNab's"
This is the best of the Nick Stone series. Moves fast, high stakes, brutal to the last.
"A post-climate change sci-fi detective thriller"
All three of these stories are great, fast moving stories set in a world it is easy to believe in that still has plenty of surprises. Peter Hamilton is a master and it is great to have these three stories online now also. Highly recommended, although I think the first one was the best one.
"Great airport fiction"
I am not sure why I keep buying these - they are really quite objectionably right wing and extreme. But I love them as fast paced yet detailed thrillers that imagine a cut throat world of clandestine agents saving us all from the bad guys. So if you like airport fiction, you'll love this. But don't think too hard....

"I kept waiting for something to REALLY happen..."
It was a long listen for what turned out to be way more of a love story than anything else, and I just didn't want that! So it might be just my reaction, but in the end I listened to the whole lot to then think I really need not have bothered. However, if you are interested in an alternative history fiction with a strong, long, love story then this may be for you.
"spellbinding for the family"
This is a great presentation of the classic, which I think is best demonstrated by the impact it had on my 5 year old son. He sat quietly listening to the entire work from start to finish throughout a Saturday morning, soaking it all up and loving every second of it.
"strong characters with plenty of grit"
Iain Banks is a genius and Peter Kenny presents his works perfectly. Kenny brings out every nuance and has a voice that seems to merge with the text and creates a full blooded technicolour rendition of the story.
No only is this a great audiobook, it is yet more evidence that we need to see the rest of Iain Banks' substantial bibliography brought online. Highly recommended.
"Stunning - as fast a pace as any thriller of 2012"
I have 220 titles in my library and this is in the top 10. Fantastic. Very well produced and having never read the original I was amazed at the pace and excitement of the story. Highly recommended!
"complex and satisfying"
A great story - I loved it as it rollercoastered through a contemporary interconnected world. Complex plot with plenty of detail, but also fluid enough to easily draw the listener along at a breakneck pace.
"Fantastic"
This is not only a great story, well performed and well written. It is also particularly interesting for stepping through 6 different contrasting genres of writing extremely well. I loved this and would highly recommend it.
