What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If this book had added more to the story- I was frustrated that I listened to the entire book only to be left hanging in the exact same spot again. Nothing accomplished.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jeffrey Archer again?

I doubt I will read #3 of this series when it comes out, but I will probably check out some of Archer's older stuff.

What does Alex Jennings and Emilia Fox bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The readers did a great job. The book was fun to listen to.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment

    Any additional comments?

If you must listen to this book, save yourself some frustration and wait until #3 comes out- this one leaves you hanging in a very strange spot with nothing resolved and only more annoying cliff hangers to deal with. It would have been much better to tie up one or two loose ends instead of adding one or two. This book felt incomplete. Strangely edited.

Former piano prodigy Nastya Kashnikov wants two things: to get through high school without anyone learning about her past and to make the boy who took everything from her - her identity, her spirit, her will to live - pay. Josh Bennett’s story is no secret: Every person he loves has been taken from his life until, at 17 years old, there is no one left. Now all he wants is be left alone and people allow it because when your name is synonymous with death, everyone tends to give you your space.

Everyone except Nastya, the mysterious new girl at school who starts showing up and won’t go away until she’s insinuated herself into every aspect of his life.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Sea of Tranquility to be better than the print version?

This audiobook it dramatized to the point that it is obvious which character is speaking and what tone the character is speaking with. Not cheezy drama, just reading the way you hear it in your head. Perfect!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This was entertaining but noticeably dated. While the storyline was certainly brilliant when Asimov wrote it (1950s?), technology has changed to the point that older Sci Fi can feel dated.

Thanks to paper-thin walls and the guy’s athletic prowess, Carolyn is gaining an - um - intimate knowledge of her new neighbor's nocturnal adventures. And since Caroline is currently on a self-imposed "dating hiatus," and her neighbor is clearly lethally attractive to women, she finds her fantasies keep her awake even longer than the noise. So when the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts Simon Parker, her heard-but-never-seen neighbor.

What could Alice Clayton have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story line was completely predictable, there was no point in most of the chapters, and the book was about ten times longer than it should have been to tell the story.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The characters could possibly have been great, if they had been given a better story.

    Any additional comments?

This book is best for someone just looking for a sweet and sexy romance. No substance at all, but it was a tiny bit cute and sweet.

The study of sexual physiology has been a paying career or a diverting sideline for scientists as far-ranging as Leonardo da Vinci and James Watson. The research has taken place behind the closed doors of laboratories, brothels, MRI centers, pig farms, sex-toy R&D labs, and Alfred Kinsey's attic.

Mary Roach, "The funniest science writer in the country", devoted the past two years to stepping behind those doors. In Bonk, Roach shows us how and why sexual arousal and orgasm can be so hard to achieve and what science is doing to slowly make the bedroom a more satisfying place.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Time well spent if you can stay awake. Well written and witty but read like a textbook. At first I wondered if I was listening to a computer generated reading of the book- to bad because the author attempts to make a point about the problems of scientifically studying sex, but the monotone loses all the small jokes and made me feel like I was in a science class instead of listening to research on an interesting subject.

Where does What Alice Forgot rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    One of the best

What does Tamara Lovatt-Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tamara Lovatt-Smith has the perfect accent for this audiobook. Australian and fun. She makes this audiobook hard to turn off. I found myself with my ipod in my pocket and listening to it anytime I had the chance.

    Any additional comments?

Finally! A book that shows the frustrations of marriage and kids without making family life seem second best to single life. The kids are annoying yet lovable, the mom is adequately annoyed/frustrated/busy without actually wanting to give up. I hate it when books make relationships all about romance. This book is very real with a focus on pain, frustration, etc. that doesn't have to get in the way of what is important. I just loved this book-- and at the end I threw my hands in the air and thought
