Rose Drayton lives on the Edge, between the world of the Broken (where people drive cars, shop at Wal-Mart, and magic is a fairy tale) and the Weird (where blueblood aristocrats rule, changelings roam, and the strength of your magic can change your destiny). Only Edgers like Rose can easily travel from one world to the next, but they never truly belong in either.

What disappointed you about On the Edge?

Based on the sample audio and synopsis I purchased this title and another IIlona Andrews title together. I thought there were fantasy stories. They are disappointing cat lover's romance novels. The author writes well and the reader is great, but if I wanted romance, I'd have selected the romance category. I have been an Audible customer for about 10 years and feel misled by this purchase. My idea of fantasy is NOT a throbbing manhood. With no way to truly check my purchases before downloading and listening, I am tempted to NOT purchase female authors again. I know I'd be missing out on some good writing but at $30 a month subscription fee, I'll take the chance.

Would you be willing to try another book from Ilona Andrews? Why or why not?

No I don't like romance novels in the category of fantasy.

    Any additional comments?

Please place the romance novels where they belong.

Cent has a secret. She lives in isolation, with her parents, hiding from the people who took her father captive and tortured him to gain control over his ability to teleport, and from the government agencies who want to use his talent. Cent has seen the world, but only from the safety of her parents' arms. She's teleported more than anyone on Earth, except for her mother and father, but she's never been able to do it herself. Her life has never been in danger. Until the day when she went snowboarding without permission and triggered an avalanche. When the snow and ice thundered down on her, she suddenly found herself in her own bedroom.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Not for me:. I have no interest in how a 15 year old girl adjusts to public school.

If you’ve listened to books by Steven Gould before, how does this one compare?

The first two books in this series vere excellent.

All Cry Chaos is a masterful and gripping tale that literally reaches for the heavens. The action begins when mathematician James Fenster is assassinated on the eve of a long-scheduled speech at a World Trade Organization meeting. The hit is as elegant as it is bizarre. Fenster’s Amsterdam hotel room is incinerated, yet the rest of the building remains intact. The murder trail leads veteran Interpol agent Henri Poincaré on a high-stakes, world-crossing quest for answers.

Would you consider the audio edition of All Cry Chaos to be better than the print version?

I found this story and presentation griping and it has become one of my favorite novels. I recommend All Cry Chaos to anyone with an ear for a great book.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The ending was a pleasant surprise. The afterword took care of all loose ends.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.

He's the most unlikely hero you'll ever meet, an ordinary guy with a modest job you might never look at twice. But there's so much more to any of us than meets the eye, and that goes triple for Odd Thomas. For Odd lives always between two worlds in the small desert town of Pico Mundo, where the heroic and the harrowing are everyday events. Odd never asked to communicate with the dead, it's something that just happened.

    Sittingduck says: "Detailed Koontz"
    "Great Sequel"
    Overall

This novel is a continuation of the Odd Thomas character developed in Koontz's "Odd Thomas". I found it fun to listen to, and the narator's skill kept my interest. I am still able to see the pictures in my head because of Koontz's skill as a writer.
