In John Scalzi's re-imagining of H. Beam Piper's 1962 sci-fi classic Little Fuzzy, written with the full cooperation of the Piper Estate, Jack Holloway works alone for reasons he doesnt care to talk about. Hundreds of miles from ZaraCorps headquarters on planet, 178 light-years from the corporations headquarters on Earth, Jack is content as an independent contractor, prospecting and surveying at his own pace. As for his past, thats not up for discussion.

I've read the original series and really prefer it. Might have preferred this if I hadn't already become so use to H. Beam Piper's books. Still an OK listen.

This kept coming up on my device while I was asleep. I would awake and start listening, unable to get back to sleep. I'd have to switch to another story. I finally started listening during the day and for the most part was totally involved. I need to hear it again.

I enjoy Anne McCaffrey and having the books available on audio enhances the experience, though I do tend to go for books I have read before. The Freedom is among my favorites. I did prefer Susie Breck alone or combined with Dick Hill to Dick Hill alone.

I had really enjoyed the performances on the firs 3 books of this series. this one not so much. The reader just didn't have the flexibility of voice. I liked the story but found it harder to follow, glad I had read the book first.

Read this several times, nice to have it read to me. Have book 3, but am hoping that book 2 comes out in Audible before I listen to it. I am really enjoying Audible and am adding a sandisk to my electronics so I can listen more often.
