With the economy in free fall, the government crippled by indecision, the streets taken over by new political parties, and the fragile institutions of civilization crumbling, a young man finds himself homeless and alone on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., facing certain death unless he can master survival skills he never imagined needing. Fending off violent citizens in an urban landscape that is gradually sliding into looting and mayhem, the protagonist emerges as an ultimate force of justice in a lawless land.

What did you like best about American Apocalypse? What did you like least?

    Nothing

Would you ever listen to anything by Nova again?

    No

How did the narrator detract from the book?

At first I wasn't sure if it was Jerry Seinfeld or John Wayne reading. The narrator’s voice is really hard to stomach almost made me not want to continue on with the book.

Did American Apocalypse inspire you to do anything?

    No

    Any additional comments?

This book could have been so much better. Overall I thought the main character was punk and the Max character was awlful as well. The writer seems to think the marine corps is the only branch of service serving our country.
