All you BDB fans out there will appreciate that I stopped the book I was listening to, got up at the crack of dawn and desperately downloaded this VERY anticipated book. To say words like good, great, awesome just doesn't do justice to the multi-layered stories JRW produces in these books and this one in particular seemed to be filled with so much more - more sub plots and sub sub plots - yes this is a riveting listen - so be warned - once you start listening it'll just hook you right in.

This was mainly Qhuinn and Blay's story which was soooo touching, tender, heartbreaking, tense, sad, frustrating (your mind screams "just tell him"), misunderstandings, oh I could go on and on but.... it's also full on with the M/M erotic hot love scenes so be warned coz if you can't appreciate that this is who and what they are, two people in love, and don't like listening to it then maybe just skip this one and wait for book 12.

This was also the start of new love stories, continued threats to the BDB Kingdom and Wrath in particular, evil deeds done by the Lessers, conspiracies, deadly partnerships, new characters etc etc etc that the book never get dull because JRW just brings more and more to the party - and long may that continue.

Worth a credit? It's 22.22 hrs of paranormal perfection on a mind blowing scale and so, daaa - of course I'm gonna say YES.

As Julia and Ryan's epic love story continues it's hit an all time low after the devastating heartbreaking tragedy that has long-term and very emotional consequences but through it all is Ryan's constant care, devotion and mad love for Julia. As well as Ryan's grief, anguish and turmoil Julia is in her own form of Hell as the world she has always known has disappeared leaving insecurities and a deep unconsolable heart-aching need for Ryan.

As the moving, well-written and very well-narrated story develops and the lovers try to rebuild and focus on to their future lives there's joy, passion, lots of sex, bucket loads of "I love you's" and a beautiful wedding with very romantic words and very intimate moments. The story is also filled with likeable family and friends who all help to create a perfect day for a perfect couple.

Worth a credit? This is a very intense love-story with it's characters staying with you long after the listen has ended and is part of a trilogy which should be listened to in order and is only suitable for the sentimental hopeless romantics who can digest a whole load of sweet n sugary dialogue within the story. I was totally enthralled with this listen and thought it was well worth the credit so I have already begged Audible for book 3 where the couple's devotion to each other will once again be tested.

This is one for the true romantics among us.... it's filled with I love you's and is a totally sweet, romantic, sexy love story as Ryan and Julia finally take their friendship to the next level. Everything is beautiful, wonderful and too good and you're left waiting for the inevitable drama which doesn't come til the end of the book - but boy when it does you better have book 2 waiting in your Library.

Great cast of secondary characters and the dual narration worked very well.

Worth a credit? I think this gives the foundation of their friendship and deep love for one another and prepares the listener for the devastation and heartbreak when tragedy strikes and the fall-out that's awaiting us in book 2. Although it was a bit too saccharin sweet at times, it was still a creditworthy listen but again ONLY for the true romantics.

There's something delicious about arrogant, charismatic, handsome, Rakish Dukes that always makes me want to hear about their trials and tribulations before they can gain the love of a patient and deserving woman and when the sexy and nearly betrothed Clevedon meets ambitious and driven Modiste Marcelline in Paris all his well thought out plans for his future are threatened.

However, Marcelline can only allow herself to care about her business but as Clevedon pursues her back to London unwilling to sever their relationship and obvious attraction there's complications, secrets, temptations and a little girl with piercing blue eyes waiting to shake-up his plans and give him a future he never dreamed of having.

This was very much a 'working/upper class divide' listen and, although they were attracted to each other, most of the way through they stopped any sort of romance from starting between them. I thought Clevedon was funny, thoughtful, kind but confused but I couldn't really warm to Marcelline's character with her relentless goal which made her appear to be a bit hard, manipulative and uncaring. However, there was witty banter, humor, passion, sex and a few very touching scenes as well as a betrayal, secrets, a near death, a devastation, a few proposals and a nice Epilogue which made this an enjoyable and entertaining listen.

Worth a credit? Yes and the character development of the drool-worthy Duke more than made up for the manipulative Modiste.

I didn't know how Kim Karr could possibly top book 1 but she pulled all the stops out and gave an OUTSTANDING, flawless, beautiful, deep and emotional listen that captivates you from the start. It's painful, moving, sad and heartbreaking yet it's also touching, romantic, sensual, sexy and passionate. As the two soul-mates plan for their wedding the shocks, secrets, lies, threats and betrayals begin to surface and build-up which rocks their perfect world and I was left stunned, surprised, wowed and awed and this brilliantly written love story left me simply breathless.

Worth a credit? A devoted H/H who have an emotional trust/faith roller-coaster love life that you can sympathise with and relate to which makes you connect and care that they finally get their heartfelt HEA ending. Together with interesting secondary characters and a touching story makes this a very creditworthy listen. Shouldn't be listened to out of order but, if you could listen to them one after the other, then you'd have a enchanted, emotional and epic listen. So all that's left to say is..... Audible please please please give us more from this awesome series.

    Story

Gorgeous Playboy, Chef and Restaurant owner Mason clashes with the sharp tongued and uptight Doctor Lena from the start and there's plenty of mutual dislike at their first meeting.... however, there is also a faint attraction too as neither one can get the other out of their minds. Fate has them meeting again and Mason suddenly becomes very intrigued as he sees glimpses of what's really underneath Lena's stiff unapproachable attitude and he becomes eager to find out more.

Lena has hardened her heart because of the death of her little sister 9 yrs previously and is determined not to let anyone in because she is sure that that way lies hurt, anguish and pain. But Mason is so patient, kind, thoughtful and sexy (which is always a winning combination for any hero) and slowly he breaks down all Lena's mental barriers leaving room for trust, companionship, sizzling chemistry and love to grow. With witty snappy dialogue, flirting and dirty talk resulting in some nice sensual hot love scenes.

But, as we all know, something's bound to go wrong and when it does Mason's anguish, heartache and pain turns to raw anger as Lena had a difficult 'Doctor type' decision to make and either way someone was going to get hurt but, as tragedy struck, it ended up that everyone got hurt. This was also filled with lots of likeable secondary characters.

Worth a credit? This starts out as a Contemporary, humorous, very passionate and sexy romance but, as Ella Frank's impressive and highly descriptive writing skills brought into the storyline, overcoming the grieving process, vulnerabilities, a heartbreaking death and trust/loyalty/forgiveness issues, it ends up being a case of just grabbing, holding on and fighting for what you truly want. The character growth of both the loveable H/H was awesome to witness as they both struggle to recapture their heartbreaking lost love through unplanned and unpredictable circumstances.... which is life. Then, when the last words have been spoken, you're left having listened to a love story that was so touching, so moving and so exquisite and, of course, so truly truly creditworthy.

Great follow-up book where Rev. Johnson plays match-maker through time an offers desperate Laney a mission and in return she'll get her heart's desire which is working with horses.... and possibly the love of a good man. It's an offer she can't and daren't refuse but he failed to tell her that it's 150 years in the past.

Handsome and caring Horse breeder Tyler has a lot of emotional baggage and wants to stay away from women, especially fallen ones, but he's been set-up and is about to tell the expected mail order bride to go home but when he sees Laney step off the coach his resolve crumbles into dust. But this isn't the life, or century, Laney was expecting nor is she what Tyler is accustomed to in women which makes for a very enjoyable listen as chemistry, need, disastrous events and a vengeful hidden enemy bring two haunted but likeable characters closer together. As the character development brings mutual attraction, trust, lust, passion, sex and a tender love story, someone evil is plotting Tyler's downfall and Laney becomes a pawn in his terrible revenge with heartbreaking results.

Worth a credit? From the beginning to the end I enjoyed and was captivated by it all, the characters, the sweet romance, the unfolding dramas and the unfortunate dilemmas made me unable to hit the pause button until I realised dawn had broken and a new day was quickly approaching. So, yes a very credit-worthy listen that's got a hero you can't help but fall for and a great Narrator that brought him, and all the other characters, to life

Kylie Scotts has managed to incorporate an awesome heartwarming love-story between two loveable main characters and filled it with witty lol dialogue, a painful family tragedy, a little drama, sex and a fast-paced enjoyable plot.

When Mal the confident, crazy, quirky, handsome and downright sexy Drummer of Stage Dive thrust himself so sweetly into Anne's life he was like a wacky whirlwind and all she could do was hold on and savour the experience. This was very much a building relationship/trust/romance driven plot between the two lovers whose depth, caring, fun, antics and chemistry will have you smiling nearly all the way through this listen. The other Band members are involved throughout the story, new characters and there's a recap to David and Eve's story from Lick (book 1).

I'm very grateful to the narrator who made this great book into an awesome listen.

Worth a credit? Oh it so was and it takes a talented Author to write a story that not only totally captivates you from the start, keeps you desperate for the next chapter, entertains you along the way and stirs up that feel-good emotion as you've come to care for the H/H and that they'll get their richly deserved HEA ending. One big problem is that I have to wait until July, yes July, for Jimmy's story and December, oh come on December!, for Ben's story (has anyone got a time machine I can borrow PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE).

Graham, the intimidating Alpha leader, tried to close his heart to the pain of loss but when his human girlfriend Misty's life is threatened when her brother's enemies kidnap her, all the calm denials of his feelings shatter as a race to find her overwhelms him, ignites his feelings and ends in bloodshed, trickery and magic.

Jennifer Ashley yet again delivers a great action-packed story filled with likeable characters, adventure, new characters, a sassy, sweet and strong (when needed) heroine, a tormented hero and a powerful selfless love story as the mating bond finally kicks in. However, Graham's life is in great danger and his pack is restless but he's unable to help himself and so it's up to Misty to somehow save him. There's humor - especially provided by the terrible twins, a steamy romance, an emotional plot, funny bickering and banter between the two lovers, Human threats and an evil Fae character who's been plotting Shifter enslavements so the Las Vegas Shiftertown prepares for war.

Worth a credit? If you're already a fan of this series then you know that JA's world-building skills enable her to multi-layer the plots as each book evolves and moves the Shifter world along so well. A very enjoyable PNR and YES a very good use of a credit.

    Story

Sadly, in this second Westruthers book, I just didn't find the same humor and chemistry that book 1 had as most of the time the H/H were avoiding, arguing or annoying each other. Yes there were moments throughout the book where their passions fleetingly ran away with them but mostly Georgiana (the Heroine and ex fiancee) was trying to match up her handsome and patient ex fiancee the Earl of Beckenham (the Hero) to her sister.

The chemistry between them was there along with the attraction but Georgiana held secrets back instead of confiding in Beckenham which stopped her pursuing him herself and he had hardened his heart long ago to protect his feelings so it was a long long time before the 'feel-good' factor of the romance kicked in. But when it eventually did it was very touching, passionate and intimate as the lovers finally rekindled and reunited. There was a constant blackmail threat from one character, secrets to be told, sex and a bit of drama because we all know that, in these books, the path of true love never quite runs smoothly.

The narrator did a fantastic job in bringing all the different voices to life.

Worth a credit? I listened to this straight after book 1 because I had enjoyed that one so much and I was expecting something similar. However, this was probably my mistake because, whilst it was enjoyable and entertaining, it was frustrating too and just didn't have the same impact on me that the first one did. Creditworthy - yes but sadly no the greatest book ever.

    Story

Whoa, what a great surprise this unique, refreshing and riveting Sci-Fi/Romance listen turned out to be with it's complex, creative, character and planet-building and a plot that was both imaginative and romantic.

As soon as Elizabeth arrives on Ardagh 1 (aka Ghost Planet) and is met by Murphy, the handsome and charming Irishman she's going to work for, their mutual attraction and light flirting starts. However, it isn't long before the multi-layered, character driven plot takes a nose-dive in a whole new direction as Elizabeth finds herself fighting for her very survival in a storyline that's got character and plot twists, shocks, surprises, danger and action lurking round every corner.

There's a nice tender romance between Elizabeth and Murphy as they struggle treachery and manipulative villains together but their passion, faith in each other and deep love for one another is what's needed to save themselves..... and a dying Planet.

Worth a credit? A host of secondary characters, a convincing love story that's got drama, sex, heartache and joy, a likeable and intelligent H/H and an original well-written Sci-Fi adventure made this and enjoyable, addictive and creditworthy listen. But it's pure fictional, futuristic fantasy with a tiny bit of fun thrown in.
