I enjoy carnal pleasures like any mortal man, but six hundred years of existence have taught me loss. Best to stay away from people and save myself the heartache. Then I arrive at the notorious London brothel Maison Rouge, and my life, such as it is, will never be the same again.

Ivy Dearing, daughter of the infamous Madam, has requested my assistance. Two of her friends have been murdered, and she is determined to find their killer. I know better than to agree to help, yet Ivy is impossible to resist. No stranger to vampires, she has awakened desires within me that are as potent as my thirst for blood .

Despite the dislikeable voices of the characters that the narrator portrays, the storyline is really entertaining. So I suggest you play 'Sample' or just double speed her.

It's got a good story based in a Brothel of multiple gruesome murders together with the ongoing plot by the sect trying to destroy the Brotherhood of vampires and finally a strong attraction between handsome vampire Saint and Ivy - the baby he saved and who is all grown up now and who is eager and all too willing for the pleasures and love she is so desperate to give him.

Worth a credit? Could have been better with a different narrator, but YES I'm more than happy with the series and looking forward to the conclusion.

Cassie Taylor was just another acting student with big dreams at her prestigious performing arts college... then she met Ethan Holt. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy on campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing on stage, Cassie and Ethan's epic romance seemed destined. Until it ended in tragedy when he shattered her heart.

    Story

This beautiful and tragic love story is told in flashbacks and present day action from Broadway where Ethan and Cassie reunite as successful actors with a bitter history between them. They're rehearsing for the same play.... a play they once performed at College but now sadly the dynamics between them are very different because love has been overshadowed by pain, heartache, hurtful memories, remorse, anger and regrets but somehow Romeo and Juliet must go on.

They first met at The Grove a Performing Arts Academy, Ethan was gorgeous, moody, damaged and insecure and Cassie was an easy-going 19 yr old giddy virgin who just wanted to be liked by everyone..... especially Ethan. They both fought the chemistry and attraction until the bitter end but for different reasons however, the pull towards each other was too strong to overcome..... but somewhere along the way it went very very wrong.

Passionate, sweet, tortuous, romantic, heartbreaking and Ethan's email to Cassie at the end was beautiful, just beautiful. However, this is part 1 of Starcrossed and so has a cliffhanger/to be continued ending which has me counting the days until May (yes, I really should get a life!).

Worth a credit? Virtually a non stop listen that caught and kept me in it's emotional and romantic web and I'm still there reliving the beginning and then the final chapters. So YES creditworthy or a buy. Great narration and told entirely from Cassie's POV.

There was no pondering over the star rating for this book and I would have given it 10 stars if there had been the option because words like awesome, riveting, mesmerising and heartbreaking just aren't enough to describe this listen. As both Jonas and Sarah's character development and love story continues, you'll rejoicing at their new found trust in each other, you'll laugh at their playful banter with each other and you'll sighing because of their understanding and deep love for each other. Then, as the tension builds, you'll become nervous for them as their world is threatened and then, then..... (gulp, sniff and sob) you'll scream and cry along with them as worst fears and memories shatter hopes and dreams.

What a gifted author Lauren Rowe is! What talented narrators Lauren Rowe and John Lane are! and What a breathtaking, unforgettable and emotionally epic storyline!

Worth a credit? I pictured each scene, became entwined in all the characters lives as the emotionally-charged plot deliciously unfolded and, as the chapters count down, the drama builds, the suspense mounts and your anxiety levels grow at the anticipated dreaded earth shattering cliffhanger. And this one didn't disappoint..... because WHAT a heartbreaking jaw-dropping cliffhanger it was that has me pulling my hair out in desperation for Jonas and Sarah to get their much deserved and fought for HEA ending that's hopefully residing somewhere in book 3. So creditworthy, oh boy a gushing overflowing YES and I'm now off to beg Audible for The Redemption..... the final part to this beautiful and emotional love story.

This book was so good, so exciting, so romantic, so heartbreaking, so beautiful and so hot that I could....not....stop listening and that made me into a very bad person because I growled, huffed and puffed out "WHAT" if someone dared to try to interrupt my listen.... (yes, I am that sad!). But in my defence..... the characters lured me into their world, a world where Jonas, the rich, arrogant, drool-worthy bang em and leave em playboy whose tragic history made him that way, found himself totally obsessed by the intriguing, clever, quick witted Law Student Sarah who had insecurities and doubts all of her own.

Then the unfolding mesmerising storyline describing off the charts chemistry, lust and mutual compatibility which left Jonas a changed man and Sarah one happy woman as he tried over and over again to give Sarah that ever elusive big 'O'. And, just when you think their stroll into the happy ever after is in sight, drama, intrigue and danger suddenly appear leaving you shocked and gasping that things have gone from euphoric to catastrophic in the blink of an eye.

This is an author I'll stalker-like follow because, not only did she write a breathtaking book, her narration of it was a joy to listen to as her, and John Lane's inflected words brought characters and chapters to life and injected moods and feelings that morphed into mental images. Mental images that were filled with laughter and quick witted banter, cries and squeals of happiness and delight, touching and tender sighs of contentment, heartbreaking sobs as revelations spill out and a gasp of shock as the final pulse-pounding chapter is revealed before the devastating cliffhanger curtain silently falls.

Worth a credit? Definitely worth a credit or $ buy because, IMHO, romance books simply don't come better than this.

For two years Finnely had been happily in love with her High School sweetheart Colin but the rat b'stard broke her heart with a mere 'it's not working out' note and that's when Jordan swooped in, claimed, possessed and married her. But 17 years later her dreams had turned to dust, leaving her empty and knowing things must change..... but not all change is good because along with it came distress, drama and danger.

This was an enjoyable, but frustrating, listen with good narration from dual POV's - there was numbness as a marriage ended, sizzling chemistry as two once young friends reconnected, reacquainted and rekindled. Now, as experienced adults, hot hot passion, dirty thoughts and talk ignite as they bonded and then heartbreak as their HEA all went up in smoke. But I said frustrating because there was a lot of each person's internal dialogue rather than joint dialogue which sadly lost it a star for me.

Worth a credit? It was an entertaining hot contemporary listen about a sexy fireman getting a second chance at love with no cliffhanger ending and yes, IMHO, a creditworthy listen.

Before I started this second instalment of Miller and Livy's tumultuous, all consuming and intense love affair I thought I'd quickly go back and refresh myself by dipping into a few chapters from book 1. Oh how wrong I was!, because once I started that all consuming and tortuous listen again I was so engrossed, so enraptured and so totally hooked on it (for the second time) that I just had to, yes HAD to, listen to every word, ever paragraph and every chapter all over again, but this time with the joyful knowledge that I already had book 2 lined up ready to immediately follow it. However, NEVER EVER did I think that this second book could surpass book 1 with it's raw passion, with it's seismic sexual intensity, with it's gripping scenes, with it's deep and unerring beauty, with it's shocking discoveries and with it's jaw-dropping cliffhanger..... but it did.

I am in awe of these books, their creator and the narrator - a literature listener's Holy Trinity - and I have just pre-ordered book 3 already knowing that when 02-10-15 comes around..... no matter what book I'll be listening to, it'll be abandoned so I can relish the final instalment of Miller and Livy's romantic journey, a journey that's been heartbreaking, heart stopping and heartpoundingly brilliant.

Worth a credit? I've used three credits on this trilogy and what I got back was pure undisputed, unforgettable and undiluted magic.... so YES YES and YES every one was, and will be, worth it.

What a great start to a new series - the action kicks off from the start when handsome Cop James finally tracks down his missing K9 Partner Bogart to a secluded cabin and what he also finds there is Shay who's a sassy sexy spitfire. The tension is high and so is the chemistry but neither one will admit it but James' Cop instincts are on high alert because he knows things aren't what they seem...... and everything snowballs from there.

A very entertaining complex plot which quickly developed as two ex's cause grief and mayhem and a strong heroine who is haunted by a tragic past which makes her insecure and vulnerable and she badly needs a Prince to save her...... even if he's got four legs! It's an action-packed exciting thriller with twists, suspense, drama, danger, sex and a romance that gets tested before it's hardly begun.

Constantly changing dual POV's which was good rather than alternating chapter by chapter views and JK's narration made this a very enjoyable listen.

Worth a credit? It was far fetched fiction at it's finest and just what I hoped for and love..... so I've no regrets using a credit on this listen and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next doggie disaster.

Erin is desperate and her last hope is Ivan the intimidating tattooed Russian but she'll do nearly anything to save her sister Rose from the hole of drugs and bad choices that she's dug herself. When tough guy Ivan first lays eyes on Erin the games over because he knows he'll do anything and risk everything to keep her safe.... and hopefully keep her for himself too.

This listen was under 3 hrs but it packed a lot in as it sucks you into the seedy world Rose has gotten herself in where the Mexican gang, Albanian gang and now the Russians are all after her. So Erin's frustration and desperation rises but the one person she can now depend on is Ivan. The romance is tender hot and quick but it has to be, the excitement is high as the bad guys come for Erin and Erin can see that underneath Ivan's gruff exterior, and his previous mob life, lies the heart of a teddy bear.

Great narration and well worth the $4.86.... just wish it had been longer.

But slowly things start to implode for Benny when a greedy developer starts pressurising her to sell up and her brother gets out of hand.... so who's she going to turn to..... yup her hunky sexy Russian tenant. Dimitri has a security business, a lot of unsavory connections and is very skilled at gang/street warfare and he also can't keep his hands off Benny and Benny is very willing to surrender herself to her tender dirty talking dominant Russian.

Great listen, very exciting, fast-paced, sexy, romantic, with a hot alpha hero and an interesting cast of secondary characters. It's well-written, clever, has a plot that hooks you right in, there's humor, sex and drama too to add to the mix and the narrator did a great job in brining all together to make a very enjoyable listen.

Montana Delray is the most laid back of the popular rock band, FireNine. He's goofy, charming, blatantly honest, talented, a massive flirt, and extremely handsome. The girls literally throw themselves at him, and he accepts it. He loves the attention. The fame. The parties. His single life. With so many women to choose from, it's not in his nature to chase after just one, but when Lauren Harkin enters his life, that all changes.

It's so sad, when you've been following a fantastic series and have been giving it 5 star glowing reviews and you're excited to then get the next book in the series and slowly you think "what happened?" Because you just don't connect with either the H/H or the plot. The Summary sounded good, it should have been good but I hate to say it but, for me, it was missing depth, chemistry and excitement. Was this one rushed? because it's the shortest book so far.

Montana and Lauren's relationship started off very casual.... no strings sex and it slowly developed into them both wanting much more but just as things settled down for them there was a secret that Lauren was keeping which, IMHO, wasn't shocking and Montana totally overreacted about. She left it too late to spill and the consequences weren't pretty.

Told from both POV's but sadly even the good narration couldn't stir up much interest for me.

Worth a credit? If you're a fan of the series and have been following the rest of the band's stories (as I have) then of course it's a must have listen and yes creditworthy. But if not, it was just a little bit blah for me.
