This book has everything, ex Navy Seal were-men with supernatural 'gifts', genetic experiments, shape shifters, bad guys, sex and romance. J D Tyler throws more strange characters with weird abilities into the story as it unfolds and they can be brought forward to be part of the story or left in the background for another book. It reminded me of JR Ward's BlackDagger Brotherhood or Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld. So if you loved them then you will love this new series I am sure.

The narrator did a good job too.

These books are going to be an automatic download for me, now I just have to be patient and wait but it could end up a series of at least 7 or much more mmmmm delicious.

    Story

What a great conclusion to Brady and Liz's tumultuous roller-coaster love affair. There's not so many dramas as there were in previous books but their sizzling chemistry, sincerity, passion and obvious love for each other more than made up for it. Liz is thoughtful and supportive and Brady, ahhh Brady he's just swoon-worthily perfect in every way.

As the backlash of 'outing' their relationship to the media builds and the frenzy starts, it damages, tarnishes and eventually destroys dreams.... but, as we see in this story, when one door closes another opens. Filled with loveable characters (and a few nasty ones too), there's angst, sex, great character development and one sweet sweet Epilogue. Told from Liz's POV until the end when we hear Brady's thoughts, hopes and dreams and the narrator was great.

Worth a credit? Yes, it would have been, but at under $10 I bought it saving my credit for a more costly, but probably not as enjoyable, listen.

Gideon calls me his angel, but he's the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own. The vows we'd exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp, my greatest fears becoming my reality, my love tested in ways I wasn't sure I was strong enough to bear.

Anyone who's been following the turbulent, obsessive, crazy and totally addictive love story between Gideon and Ava..... well you've probably either already downloaded this or you're listening to it now because, as fans of the series, we are all desperate that this tortured couple get their hard won HEA ending. But sadly, we don't get it with this book I'm afraid.

When I started this series I thought it was going to be a trilogy but it didn't end at book three so seeing this I thought finally!! but nope yet another drama filled and a 'to be continued' ending. There were parts that dragged, parts I loved and their were plenty of romantic "I love yous", bags and bags of needy, greedy and hot sex and we delve deeper into the heart-achingly awful nightmares that's haunting Gideon from his past abuse. And, yet again, it seems the world is out to get them by destroying what Gideon loves most.... Ava but, in the end, he manages to do it all by himself.

Come on Ms. Day enough is enough don't torture them, and us fans, any further, write a spectacular HEA ending for them that'll blow our minds and then finally we can all get closure on what has been an awesome series..... but do it STAT.

Worth a credit? This fell in my under $10 rule so I bought it but of course I'd of used a credit on it come on...... it's Sylvia Day - it's Gideon and Ava and it's one step closer to the fireworks of a finale that I'm desperately hoping for. Told from dual POV's and the narration was great but I'm still not a fan of dual narration.

I met Sarah Kate Erickson when I was 21 years old. I was lucky enough to keep her for seven years before a tragic accident stole her from me. She didn't die, but sometimes I think it would have been easier if she had. I lived in a haze for those four years after the accident. Catering to her every need, even though she hated the very sight of my face. I tried to hold on to her and the future that we were supposed to build together. But you can't hold on to someone that doesn't exist anymore.

This tragic and haunting book grabbed me from Chapter 1 as I got caught-up in the heartbreaking story of Brett, Sarah and Jesse and the curveball life threw at them all and two other secondary, but important, characters. For seven years Brett has been damaged, drained and finally broken over his wife Sarah and even when he's with Jesse he just can't let go.

What a roller coaster of an emotional journey this love story takes you on through beautiful then painful flashbacks of the past to beautiful then painful events of present day as the loving, supportive and devoted Jesse gives it her all, in a very raw and volatile relationship, in the hopes she'll eventually break through and win Brett's heart. There's passionate pleas, plenty of tears, vicious encounters, amazing loving fun filled days, humor, heartache, sweeping romantic gestures and lots of sex all told from dual POV's. Now I'm not a fan of dual narrators but they did a great job with the handful of characters and all the emotions this story called for.

Worth a credit? I really really didn't want to hit pause or stop (and I've got the bags under my eyes this morning to prove it) as I was holding on for the HEA but I never expected it to be so, so,....... oh listen, feel and learn firsthand about it's climactic ending. Don't start this book until you've cleared the hours to devote to a great listen. Worth a credit.... Hell yes.

It's all been glowingly said before so all I'll add is what a great series this has turned out to be and this book, IMO, is simply the best so far. It's packed full of action, suspense, mystery, romance and a full cast of loveable characters and each scene is so well written and described that you feel you're there. Then Kirsten Potter added her magic and brought it all to life with her very talented narration. And the Hero, well who doesn't like a sexy, drool-worthy, vulnerable yet alpha, virginal winged Warrior who has fallen hopelessly in love.

Told from various POV's and has an ongoing secondary plot so it would be best listened to after books 1-4 in the series.

Worth a credit? I loved, loved, loved it all..... so of course I'm going to say YES.

Sometimes, when the narrator is so bad, it's hard to judge whether the book was good or not because it's so hard to get into the story. I've listened to the other four books in this series all narrated by JM but I truly don't know what happened to her while narrating this one coz she was awful, it was a painful listen and, in the end, I couldn't tell who was talking.

The story was ok, nothing special, lots of sex and dirty talking, Heroine was annoying as Hell and the actual plot wasn't bad.

Worth a credit? If I wasn't already into this series then I'd have to say no because of the sh*t narration! however I am following the series so I accept having to use a credit. There is one more bachelor billionaire left but sadly, before I use a credit on it, I'm going to have to listen to the Sample first and if she sounds like this then I won't bother with it - end of series or not.

They've been through Hell and it's only going to get worse in this emotionally-packed, messed-up, tangle-filled drama Olivia and Alexander find themselves in when the shocking secrets that Alexander has rightly or wrongly withheld. But they slowly get revealed leaving Olivia dazed, shocked and heartbroken..... sadly, more than just once.

Meanwhile the mysterious enemy is laying his evil trap by recruiting the help of the greedy and the spiteful and when his trap is finally sprung we get to see just who the mastermind behind the terrible web of lies and deceit is..... and what a mouth gapping shocker that was.

It's got so much heartache and angst but there's also buckets full of sex, suspense, twists/turns, passion, romance and edge of your seat nail-biting tension when things take a bloody, dangerous and vile turn. Told from various POV's but mainly the H/H's and the Narrator did a wonderful job in injecting all the necessary emotions that every bitter-sweet scene called for and brought to life each character.

Worth a credit? This isn't an easy listening, lovely, feel-good, sweet romance.... no it's a cruel, brutal and emotionally draining listen. It's also a well-written, heartbreakingly intense plot about love and betrayal so when these two lovers get their much deserved HEA ending all you can do is sigh with relief that their tumultuous love story has reached it's beautiful end. A non-stop listen and a credit well used.

To say my library's got a good share of Shifter books in it would be an understatement...... but I think this is absolutely THE BEST of all of them. It introduces you to a host of loveable characters who all get entwined in a really enjoyable and entertaining plot that's got everything I was looking for.

In this first taste of the fresh were-world it's very much character driven and you can't help but feel part of their world as you get to know each of them and what part they all play in this new community. Dual POV's and the Narrator did a FANTASTIC job in bringing all of events and characters to life.

Worth a credit? Oh boy is it ever, I loved it and I'm desperate for the next instalment which will be an auto buy for me.

This is one of those listens that I just didn't want to stop listening to and then I was desperate to get back to because there's so much angst, surprises, twists, nail-biting tension, intrigue, heartbreak, family love, sub plots and romance that I was constantly in a state of "OMG what the Hell is going to happen next".

It's a well written story that's got a wealth of world-building information and it's filled with well developed characters who each have depth, compassion and interesting back-stories who had me ABSOLUTELY captivated from Chapter 1. The Narrators did a great job in conveying all the feelings necessary to make a great storyline even more exciting and climatic. An awesome MC listen, told from various POV's, with snappy biker dialogue, occasional humor, dirty talk, lots of referring to sex but no actual scenes and a romance that was tough, tender, touching and traumatic.

Worth a credit? I would of happily spent a credit on this but at under $8 I just bought it and saved my credit for a more costly listen but one that probably won't be quite as entertaining as this one was. As I've basked all day in the euphoria that this book has left me in my problem now is..... what can I possibly follow this book with.

Warning.... don't (as I did) look at the cover mm...mm..mm, read the Summary and think "that sounds like a great book about a hot sexy ex Marine Alpha Fighter and Bodyguard who's going to be a strong character and a demanding lover" (or is it only me that thinks that?) because sorry it's not. Now that's to say it's a bad story because it wasn't but it just wasn't what I was expecting at all from that cover picture.

This is more about Bee, the Heroine, who's a rich successful Entrepreneur but because of the awful narration of her, she sounds more like a sixteen year old girl and she acts and does some stupid things. However, Kelly, his family, the other characters (both good and evil) along with his fellow bodyguards all thankfully make up for her. There's a stalker, blackmail, loan sharks, Russian mobsters, a short glimpse into a few underground fights and a dead brother whose secrets causes problems. Instant love, a little romance, an explicit but sweet sex scene, some 'duh as if' scenes, drama, twists, surprises and some tense situations all added up to a fairly enjoyable listen.

Dual POV's ok narration except for the Heroine's too young awful awful voice.

Worth a credit? I felt like I was missing something during this story because so many of the characters mentioned events from the past and I now see that the author has another series (Her Russian Protector) and so I think I would have enjoyed and gotten more out of this book if I'd listened to them first. However, I didn't so all I can finally say is that it was an ok listen, not what I was expecting, with no Alpha Hero in sight but still just about creditworthy.

It's great to get another slice of what's been happening in Bones and Cat's Vampire lives (or deaths)..... even if it is just a brief visit it's still so wonderfully worthwhile. Bones is happily celebrating his birthday (which is weeks before Xmas) when suddenly there's a phone call and the trouble starts from there but it's when he's introduced to someone new that things really get scary for them.

It may only be 3.5 hrs long but boy does it pack a lot in.... there's drama, angst, humor, demons, a good v evil battle, heartbreak, romance and even sex during a life or death struggle as another entity forces the pair to risk everything in order to save themselves..... and some of there friends too.

Worth a credit? If, like me, you're a fan of this series then I'm sure you'll agree that it's just great to rejoin the Night Huntress much loved characters which were all beautifully portrayed by Tavia Gilbert's talented narration whose voice brings this series to life. I don't usually like or listen to short stories but getting a new book in this series is like getting a gift and it's one I'd have happily used a credit on but at under $10 I bought it and saved my credit for a longer, more expensive, but maybe not as enjoyable and exciting a listen.
